Do B&B really want Martellus Bennett? Hopefully this goes the way of the Gordon Beckham segments.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole segment was born of B&B having him on and being so tickled by him that they proposed making it weekly. It's not like, say, the Dennis McKinnon segment, where you could tell they were just trying to get through it and never speak of it again. I always thought they liked doing the Beckham segments, though. I mean, any time you can be in the presence of a member of the Chicago White Sox, how can you complain.

There are way too many guests on the show lately. I know it's a directive to do Bears analysis out the ass, but when you have Chris Tannehill producing slick intro packages for a guy who writes for Bleacher Report, you've reduced yourself to absurdity. I could write for Bleacher Report.

No, you couldn't. You're far more qualified than anyone who writes for Bleacher Report.

I don't know how the Martellus thing exactly came about. Maybe B&B were willing, but I suspect Mitch had a big hand in it. Of course he had to OK the cash.

The Martellus show is tedious and dumb, but has anyone else heard XRT's Contractually Obligated Bears Content?

"Now it's time for Long Time with Kyle Long. How was the game, Kyle?"
"it was good"
"Are you looking forward to the next one?"
"yeah"
"This has been Long Time with Kyle Long. Mary has the news after this from The Cure."

I happen to be walking from the train station during that time so I never hear it. I was always curious, but not that Curious.

I can't believe there is a man alive who knows less about football than Lin Brehmer.

I've heard Jason Thomas talk about football a lot. They should have made the station's Contractually Obligated Bears Content him talking to Peanut Tillman about getting really high.

I wonder what it is for 104.3. Probably like Tommy Edwards talking to Patrick Mannelly.

The Martellus show origin story is more strange than you recount. He did some kind of fill in on I believe Waddle and Silvy either for Jay or Marshall. The Score panicked when they saw the team start well and that ESPN had locked the other two in.

what a weird show. the non-bernstein guy has no authority and terry boers just rambles about stupid shit that is common sense to everyone. he complains that nobody understands something when its really just one guy and terry blows it up into a huge ordeal like the whole world is trying to french kiss his asshole

That's how I remember it also. He was on ESPN first.
