Bernstein's was a funny fail because it had no traction outside of Chicago. My NewYork sources were only mildly amused, and the NewYork media was everywhere scoffing at the notion that Girardi would go anywhere, let alone Chicago.

Terry's had a ring of truth early in the season before the annual Lovie slide. At that point in his contract it wasn't unexpected for there to be a few drums beating.

Goff's is epic fail because of one person, Siovaughn Funches Wade. No chance in hell was Wade coming anywhere near that crazy bitch. Also, having won a ring in Miami why would he give that up to come and have to prove himself to the Chicago fans?

Drinky is a cute fail, straight out the Dr. Dan Bernstein play-at-home diagnostic doctor game. Jay may wind up getting post-season surgery but Drinky failed to take into account that the walking boot wasn't on post-game.

Plausible? Yes. Drinky is stupid and does embarrass the station. But the report would be based on speculation based on drinky being stupid. The Score has stuck with him this long while he's been stupid and an embarrassment. So it would be a shot in the dark that one day Zim would say, "Let's not put up with drinky being stupid anymore." And then finally firing him.

That's the same type of thing that drinky did with his "Report".

For me it's really simple. I don't think there is a single reporter at the Score. It's a station of shock jocks and shock jock wannabes. That's why I don't get upset when Goff says LeBron to Chicago is imminent or drinky says Cutler is out for the season. They have no credibility and I never thought they did. That's also why I don't take li'l danny seriously even when he puts on big boy pants and the reporter's fedora and begins talking slowly about Sandusky or CTE. He's still just a shock jock. The funniest thing of all is on those rare occasions when they "break" a story, which usually is nothing more than some athlete cracking out of turn on a shock jock show and they have Big Voice Guy incessantly trumpeting the big "scoop".
