I don't remember that show. From what I would hear from her when she was doing updates and occasionally chiming in on Silvy & Waddle, she always struck me as someone who wanted to be regarded as "legitimate" journalist/sports reporter while trying to affect a party girl image and shoving her boobs in everyone's face and then acting offended if someone regarded her as the latter.

That's pretty much my read on her as well.

I think she thought she'd be a famous sideline reporter with an Erin Andrews cult following.

She did some Sunday shows on ESPN 1000. Conceited girl that carries herself as though she's some super star. From what I heard, pretty much stories about her life, her connections to famous people (Meaning she knows somebody who knows somebody who knows the famous person. She's one of those types.), the parties she's attended, the clubs and restaurants she's frequented. In other words, her favorite subject is herself.

Clock is ticking on her, though. Have to use your boobs to advance when you're in your 20s. What is she? 33 or 34 now? Guess she was never able to do that.

I believe she's dating the guy who publishes that sports version of The Onion that never gets around to being funny.

You'd think CBS would have come up with bigger assignments than the Score once they finally got Tom Brokaw.

Commercial: Infiniti Winter Engagement
Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hvoOW7Xz6U
Synopsis: Extended family (Grandpa, parents, kids) trek out to a special location to hang an ornament on a string of lights. Grandpa expresses worry that they may not make it. "40 years of tradition to keep." Dad reassures that they will make it despite inclement weather, as the Infiniti will get them there safely and swiftly. Cut to little girl hanging said ornament on string, just in time for someone not in the scene to flick on light switch to illuminate a house and series of trees.

This commercial has always bugged me. What is going on in this ad? Is this 40 year tradition one of trespassing onto someone else's property just at the moment that they are turning on their holiday decorations, and duping some little kid (presumably the commercial's Dad in his youth) that hanging their interloping trinket is somehow necessary for these lights to work? Hang your ornaments at your own damn house! I feel there is a dark backstory here. Next time I want to see this commercial end with the cops involved.

Welp, that commercial for Fatass Warehouse or whatever is back. "I need pants in a 44 waist."

It's bad enough that this commercial is irritating, but beyond that, it's simply retarded. It doesn't make any sense. What is supposed to be happening? Is they guy trying to order pants at a drive-thru? Death is too good for the people responsible for this ad.

Heard this one yesterday and completely agree. Makes zero fucking sense.

The latest spot for Majestic Star Casino is also brain dead. Wife asks the hubby why he's strapping a refrigerator to the roof of the car, and he says it's because he doesn't have a truck. No problem, she says...Majestic Star is having a drawing to win a truck!

Finally, I'm trying to determine if the ad from Weil Cadillac in Libertyville is clever or dbag-worthy. At the beginning we hear the "z copy" (fast-spoken legalese) and then Irwin Weil comes on to rip other dealers for their z-copy and tries instead give us some plain, honest talk...even though he basically violated his message by putting in his own z-copy.

To the tune of "Deck the Halls"

Shop the merchants of Glen Ellyn! (fa la la la la, la la la la)
You're just love the things they're sellin'! (fa la la la la, la la la la)

This is the first time I heard this spot and it will be the last.

Any commercial copy sung to a pre-existing Christmas song immediately makes me want to pick up a weapon. The loan mart commercials seem to get under my skin the most. The incessant Improv commercials on the stream also make me want to murder something. No I'm not paying money to hear the leftover Wayans Brothers, and I'd rather listen to a Sam Kinison CD on repeat than hear a very special Rob Schneider holiday show!

I despise 99.9% of all commercials with fired-up brimstone and pashun. But for some reason, that one eludes my hatred. I do not know why. It has every annoying factor that a commercial could possibly have. But it's the 1 in 1000 that I can listen to. Maybe because the reader's voices are somewhat pleasurable and relaxed, rather than obnoxious? I don't know.

Oh, right. Half the Score employees.

Maybe it's just me, but every time I hear one of the new reads for International Autos in Orland Park, my mind jumps back a decade or two to the commercials for old-time Score sponsor International Profit Associates. (A business I always considered a fraud, with a name like that.)

I like it. It should be played on 93.9.

This doesn't really make me want to kill, I just don't really understand it. I know most of you Intel-generation guys don't read the paper, but if any of you do, could you please tell me why the broad in the constantly recurring Adriana Furs ad has her leg up in the air as if she's about to rap it around a pole that doesn't exist?
