Hawthorn (mall, not racecourse) seems to have about a hundred Lubavitchers milling about at any given time.

Im sorry, but I am just a fan of Jewish people in general. I like them.

When I did live in Rogers Park for that year, I took the Metra to work. Me, a black lady, and 40 jewish men. I used to love to just listen to them talk. They made a lot of sense

Tanihill missed a chance here. As soon as Bernstein finished saying "I just don't think Derrick Rose is very smart" he should have hit the "You're a Racist" music that had always been used for Mike North.

Would have been funny as hell. Listeners would have loved it. Spiegel would have been cracking up.

I don't know why they retired that drop. Comedy gold every time.

By the way, why don't we have a word to describe people who hate Christians. We have "anti-semitic" to describe those that hate Jewish people.

I am hear by adding "anti-Christitic" to the English language to describe Bernstein and his kind.

I would submit that there are a greater percentage of Jewish people hating Christians than Christians hating Jewish people. There are a lot more Dan Bernstein's out there than you might think.

We deserve a word, dammit!!!!

No, the stupid part is Dan says he doesn't push his religious beliefs on others. Rose isn't doing that, but Dan is pretending like he is. Helps the narrative.[/quote]

Amen!!!

Those that hate Christians are referred to as BERNSTEINOLOGISTS...."yeah I came up with that all by myself YO!"

Speaking of comedy gold, I think my all-time favorite drop on The Score was when the Heavy Fuel Crew would play "One toke over the line, sweet Jesus..." following a caller's nonsensical comment. Cracked me up every time.

Did McNeil ever play it post-HFC?

I've started to think drinky pushes the buttons during most of the calls. It just happens too often. And don't say "the callers are idiots". Why doesn't every other caller on other shows beep constantly?

But A Christmas Story really is bad and annoying and overrated and overexposed.

And it's your opinion..which you are entitled to and just like when Dan says something or YOU say something doesn't make it so for everyone.

I've never seen it in full, just bits and pieces from those terrible 24-hour marathons, but I've seen enough to know that it isn't worth my time and the rest of the world can kindly shut the fuck up about it any time now. Leg lamp, BB gun, licking a pole, okay, I get it. I can't think of a better way to articulate it, because it's meant to be a fairly precise subphylum here, but families who really worship the watching of A Christmas Story tend to be, like, those families who can't modulate their voices at the dinner table. It's a certain type.

Well said. The best way to judge a movie is to see random scenes over multiple years and then make strong opinions. The movie is stupid because it is about a guy licking a pole and a furnace that shoots out black smoke. Who cares?

I find the movie cute as hell. In fact, just last night, we got into a screaming match at dinner about Scut Farkas' braces. No goddamn way a 1940s, low class, ruffian like him would have had braces. It became quite heated.

You just proved Curious' thoughts correct. What grown ass man wants to see a "cute" movie?

It proves nothing, other than you being wrong, once again.

I truly truly hate that movie. And I have seen it all the way through.

Now it bugs me that Dan feels the same way.
