for those of you who ignore Ike threads, Mac was finalizing a deal at WMVP to take over their afternoon slot.

B&B should be worried. very very worried...

Now B and B have to really make sure they're on top of their game at least three times a week.

what % of people are lucky enough to have a job that uses more than 25% of your brain capacity?

The rest of us should be able to drink at work.

AAAAAAAAAAAANDDDD the show follows its Cubs roots, Terry guarantees the Bears will go 2-0 and Dan seems to be slowly backing him up.

i agree. doesnt make sense that our country that wants 11000% production doesnt want to put us on drugs to double that output

Bernstein talking about how the twitter community was up in arms about Peyton Manning being named sportsman of the year. He really does think twitter is the be all end all. For the record, Dan thinks Jason Collins should be SOTY. What...he...did...was...important!!

BECAUSE THATS NOT HIS JOB. HE IS NOT GETTING PAID TO BE A REPORTER. HE WILL NOT DO ONE SHRED OF WORK THAT HE DOESNT HAVE TO.

It really doesn't make sense to me why the Bears aren't the favorite for any primetime spots. Every time the Bulls or Bears are on in primetime, it breaks records. I understand that the Cowboys are "America's Team" or whatever, but I don't ever see them pulling in the kind of ratings Chicago does.

Yes, but it really doesn't matter what the reason is for the ratings; it should only matter what the ratings actually are.

And Blackhawks.

As for the Bears getting passed up for primetime, I don't know that they do. They get their fair share. If you're talking about the flex games, there are rules about how many national games you can have, plus CBS and Fox can protect a certain number of games. There was one year, maybe the first or second of flexing, that Fox went bean-counting on their protected games and basically became America's Home For The New York Giants for the last month of the year.

They do. It was just the debate about whether they are flexing the Dallas game or the Bears game that prompted the response. The response was almost automatically "Well, it's Dallas so they'll get flexed." I don't know that it is or that it should be true. I would assume the station has the bean counters to know this information, however, so I'm sure the Bears get their fair share.

I know I've said it here before, but the broadcasters' obsession with the Eagles is the one I've never understood. In some years, it's been downright smothering.

Agreed. It's that way with any NFC East team, including Washington.

This was so gross and unexpected that I choked on my own spit laughing at it.

it happens to everyone at some point. if you think about it, 7 billion people or so on earth, i would imagine a few million people at any given time are simultaneously skiddin their drawers. what if aliens made a telescope that could only detect accidental craps? the would be shocked at what they find
