I think if Rose was white he would of been taken to task long before this.

And if this happened on the Blackhawks, Bernsy would never care to bring it up.

Funny, after the limo night and the passed out drunken weekend at Wisconsin I don't remember Lil Danny calling out for Kane's need to be mentored and protected like his stance that Rose needed exactly that to navigate the rough waters of NBA mail opening, etc,

Danny has ripped Kane in the past regarding the taxi thing, also inferring underage sexual escapades.

Don't forget his article about how fans are idiots for going to the parade after winning the Stanley Cup. REAL. FANS. DONT. CELEBRATE.

Berns line of thought goes something like this:

If you did not go to college or went to a college ranked lower than Duke (on Berns' list) you are an idiot.
If you went to Duke you are a REALLY SMART GUY.
If you went to Harvard, Princeton, or Yale, you are a fucking genius.

Is there a reason the bulls can't say " look Derrick, you are going to have to start working with us here." Why does he have the organization by the balls?

I agree with Bernstein on this one. When Rose became injured this second time and it was announced that he was out for the season the first thing that came to my mind was that I did not want to hear anything disparaging from him or his camp about Bulls management and his disenchantment with them. He has essentially missed three seasons now. Their title chances have been shot to hell. This was done primarily because he is injury prone. If Rose has a problem with the way the rebuilding effort is going then he should restructure his deal if allowed and help Bulls management. We all know that will not do it I dont know if the league will allow it but if so that is an option. Rose is hindering any rebuilding effort because he is tying up their salary cap with a 20 million dollar tag. They expect for him to be a superstar and he is not on the court. This is not the time to be playing side show GM and his brother should pipe down also.

GarPax is likely ignoring him, so he's upping the ante by talking to the press. No upside for GarPax to get in a public pissing contest a la Don Tiny.

Paxson is such a freaking hard-ass I doubt he gives an inch with Rose.

This is going to be a terrible radio day. We have the obvious Bears stuff, literally the best team in hockey in the Hawks and baseball action. Instead we will waste a day on this stuff.

I posted this like a week ago.

Also, JORR's reading of this is absolutely right, no argument. We've been on Dan's weird paternalism for 18 months now. If you don't see it yet, you can't see anything.

Ah, here it was

Curious Hair wrote:
I believe the emailer said "no matter how much help he got from [all manner of Really Smart People], Derrick showed, as he did with his SATs, that he is a poor student." I guess they coached him on what to say and then Bulls Employee Sam Smith rattled him and made him forget his script.

Whatever, fairly plausible, but the annoying part was how Dan opened the show with this great Lightbulb Moment that welp, there's no way around it anymore, boys: DERRICK ROSE IS, INDEED, A TARD. Pretty ballsy to present it this way when Dan has been implying that Derrick Rose is a tard for the last, oh, five years. He sure didn't afford Derrick Rose any intelligence or agency when he lauded Derrick's brothers early on for making him live in a house in Deerfield and not letting him out after sunset. Or the tsk-tsking that damn near slicing his hand off with an apple parer was the inevitable collateral damage of teaching Li'l Baby Derrick how to eat real people food and not just gummi worms, and that it's a good thing he's going to have a personal chef from now on. Or when Derrick was flashing gang signs in a pot haze because he, the child of Englewood who actually did move out, just plumb didn't realize what they meant. Or when Derrick had to be scolded to LISTEN. TO. HIS. DOCTORS. Or when during this time Patrick Kane had to bear all personal responsibility for being a dumbass without the benefit of having his failures shirked to his "handlers" because he, despite what's actually when you sit and think about it just as bizarre and emotionally arresting a childhood as any, should know better. But yeah, this just in.

Secondly, regardless of the fact that I agree he's a "liberal" racist (e.g., these black folks can't help themselves, they're not on an even playing field, we have to stoop down as far as we can to help them), that's not the point of his article in any way. You're shoehorning the racist nonsense in a place it doesn't belong, and all that does is water-down any actual arguments on his actual racist tendencies ... in other words, why make up bullshit when there's already plenty of real evidence to work from? That's what frustrates me about what you said.

Okay, now that my head is cooler, I'll answer.

I understand what you are saying, and if this were an article just taken by itself, I might agree. But we have have the luxury of listening to the author five hours a day, and in listening, he leaves little ambiguity regarding his position on race. Blacks are superior athletes to whites. What's left unsaid is that blacks are dumber than whites. But it stands to reason that a guy who holds one view would hold the other. What is his basis? Blacks outperform whites (generally) on the basketball court. Of course he isn't going to come out and say, whites outperform blacks in the boardroom (generally), but it's underlying. And if you listen, you know that.

That's why his racism is so much worse than someone like Mike North's. North spews racism dressed in clown shoes. bernstein masks his in a cloak of phony intellectualism. I'm sure North has actually used the word "shine" in a racial context. I doubt bernstein ever would. But he doesn't have to. His implications are clear.

I'd be interested to know if any black board members read the article the way I did.

He was probably right when he said it then, but this is kind of echoing Dan's criticism of summer-2010 LeBron for employing "his bobos from Akron" instead of "real," read: Jewish, representation.

Does the DB stand for Dan Bernstein or DoucheBag?

And, hang on, JORR had a decent take on Dan's undertones and Don Tiny's being a complete, condescending, pud? WOAH, hold the phone.

Lots of goofballs and performance artists here, but there is no doubt that Don Tiny presents with the biggest personality disorder. Congrats, maybe you'll get a Best Of 2013 award for your continued douchebaggery, pal.

True.

At this point I don't see why it matters whether he's some empty-headed fool or, and I don't think this is the case, that he's actively agreeing with what his cadre of cocksuckers say and do in his name .... the end result is he's become a detriment to this team ... sure, the injury you can't necessarily help (maybe), but the rest of it? Dogshit. Steaming dogshit on a big plate with cartoon stink lines over the top of it.

I know you can't be bothered with a lot of stuff, oh insanely-intellectual-at-least-in-his-own-mind one, but at what point don't you give at least a hummingbird's beak full of attention to those who claim you post like a dismissive prick? Plenty of people he disagree with other's thoughts, but you're about the only who climbs atop Mount Pious, and looks down your nose at the lowly idiots, once someone disagrees with you. But continue on, you're doing great.

LOL to the caller who was just on:

Caller: Terry, if the Bears continue to do well will you get back on Team Trestman?
Terry: Well, I I I, I don't know that I ever....
Caller: Terry, you did say that you were done with him and....
Terry: Uhhhhh
Dan: He's right, you did say you were done with him. You did say that.
Terry: Uhhh, well, no. No I won't be back on board until I see that certain decisions during the game are made correctly, then I'll think about getting back on board.

Dan: Didn't you find it interesting what Mike Mulligan wrote today?
Terry: Yes I did. Mully was right!
Dan: I saw that, wait a second..
Terry: Wait a minute, he's right
Dan: Kind of made my head hurt
Terry: Yaaaaaaaaaaah, but he's right though!
Dan: <reads article>
Terry: Yup.

I don't know why Terry's blind agreements bother me so much, but I'd be willing to bet the mortgage payment that there is no way that Terry had any idea what the article was about, let alone actually read, that article.

I can't tell them apart, but does Mully or Hanley do all the shouting? I listened for five minutes this morning, and one just kept yelling, for no fucking reason. Same one also posed SIX consecutive questions without pausing to let anyone else answer. Something about whether a Saluki is an actual dog or just a mythological creature. That show is hot garbage.

The sad thing is we'd need more information to answer this question.
