The artcile had that line about it being nobody's fault. I know both sides have said some dumb stuff publicly, but the situation is not anyone's fault. Rose got hurt. He healed. He got hurt again. The Bulls can't win without him, and they can't hold this team together to wait for him due to the cap. It sucks.

Actually, saying he's "just a guy who keeps getting hurt" is a decent lack of understanding of everything going on with Rose, his camp, the Bulls, and Thibodeau. It is a colossal train wreck. No one can speak directly to anyone else in all of this. The Bulls absolutely hated how Rose (and his camp) handled his injury last year, they actually leaked to the media that he was ready to play just to get the point through to him. And this year, they've tried to nip it right off the bat, saying he's not coming back this year. But Rose (and his camp) just keep on talking...and never actually to the team.

Whether it's his brother, or the Adidas money, or the new contract...Derrick Rose has become the exact thing Bernstein said. And the biggest problem is he's probably not bright enough to understand it.

Which is a complete strawman as nobody that I'm aware of has ever said "Rose gets hurt on purpose" or "it's Rose's fault he got hurt".

Like BillyP said, this article is a much larger piece of dreck than Bernstein's ... considerably so.

I'll go further and say the "Out of Town Stupid" remark actually does apply here. Which is to say why the hell would Deadspin, as a website, take the time to do some in-depth research on Derrick Rose and all the ancillary characters in this grand play.

Just for example, you're just not going to read about why BJ Armstrong is a piece of shit and, by extension of his being an enemy of John Paxson, he's an enemy of the Bulls organization and thus, in turn, an enemy of any Bulls fan who wants to see a championship team. BJ doesn't give a damn about anyone but Rose only insofar as it serves his own desires ... do not for one moment even pretend to think what BJ does is anything but that which gives him a feeling of vindictive retributional joy.

The whole fucking thing stinks, and the losers are idiots like you and me that expect these people to be professional men rather than petulant asswipes, which I suppose makes us "In-Town Stupid" ... but that's at least somewhat understandable as well as forgivable ... as opposed to the folks at Deadspin who are just attention whoring off a class-A attention whore on the radio.
