Yeah, I'm in the sweet spot right now, with kids in public grade schools. But I'm dreading how much college is going to be in another decade...100k per year at this pace?

Ya think? Cowboys haters will likely have one more glorious night this season when the Eagle play the Cowboys for a division title.

Really hoping there is some kind of bubble to pop for tuition soon. Something has to give at some point. Allowing it never to be discharged any in capacity is really going to fuck things up.

In the next 18 years, something will give. The current model is going to implode soon, we are at the tipping point now.

I've got 14 years!

I couldn't have imagined pulled twins on the second pass. At least it's somewhat acceptable for a girl to be seen in boy's stuff. I've subjected my boy to the occasional pink blanket.

On the phone with my sister and in the middle of the conversation she screams downstairs "I will bring you 1 cookie!' as she has drawn the line at 1! She is showing my 8 year old nephew who is boss!

This was in response to him downstairs laying on the couch and yelling upstairs 'Mom will you bring me some meatloaf! (cookies actually)"

So I then asked my sister. "do you ever once remember yelling upstairs for mom to bring you some cookies downstairs?"

She was laughing too hard, could barely breath and she even said "I have no idea how my kids got like this"

Just a fine example.

Another fine example, sitting at my friends house, his kid playing some video game. The kid does not take his eyes off the TV, doesnt say a word, just holds up his empty Capri Sun. My buddy gets up, takes the empty and comes back with a full one, Straw already in! (because the work of putting in the new straw is too much)....his son is 32 years old (just joking, he is 9)

Wow. Has he given up and just decided to let the kid call the shots? I'm trying to think what's more disturbing, the son with the "another over here, barkeep" attitude or the dad who allows it.

I know I friends with some people who have some spoiled shits for kids, so when I do see a kid with some good manors i am impressed.

I had that as a kid. It could bounce real high or you could get the picture peeled off newspaper comics with it.

Well said. I agree with all of that. I enjoy every second of it.

I got the hard partying out of my system in my late 20's, and the kids were born when I was 34 and 36.

A couple girls I grew up with are both pregnant with their 4ths. It seems like that would be beyond expensive for what these families make in income. Maybe I overestimate the cost.

theyre on welfare. not a luxurious life, but theyre not constantly worried about paying the medical bills

They arent though. I know these families. The husbands have decent like 60-80K a year jobs and the wives work part time.

Still doesnt add up

 yeah we all aren't on welfare.

It is not easy at times. But I wouldn't change it for anything.

For us going from 2 kids to 3 kids was probably the hardest.

With my friends and family, they say the same thing. the jump from 2-3 is when it really gets crazy. You cant play man defense, have to switch to zone and it aint easy.

thats only cause parents leveled the playing field. you think the baby boomers parents had a hard time raising their kids? the hardest part was getting your belt off and having to listen to those annoying screams of terror.
