Jeeeezus man, I don't think chamomile tea is a mind altering substance UNLIKE POT. maybe I am wrong. It certainly didn't do much for me.

You made the statement out of whole cloth. I'm just trying to get clarification as I don't think you necessarily belong in the loony box on this issue, but that statement is in direct opposition to that assertion.

I'm thinking of drinking at this point. Jesus Christ I should've gone home half an hour ago. That cinches it.

Alright, but I gotta tell ya Ike you don't always sound happy on here. I love ya though. This might be as social as you want but you seem to like because you keep coming back here.

you got it. same reason i loved texting when it came out. i could talk to girls without having to talk to them. it was great. but now those girls are women and they think texting is weak :/

this forum is the only one i talk on. its the group of guys here, and the moderator. bigfan lets pretty much anything go, so i can be unfiltered here, and even the people that dont like me keep coming back for debate, so why wouldnt i stick around? if csfmb went away i would likely just not even post online anymore.. id just go back to trolling the score radio shows over texts like i used to.

It doesn't affect anything. I'm aware of everything I do, and every choice I make. Like I said, my wife and kids are the most important things in the world to me. If my pot use had any effect on them, I wouldn't do it.

I think you are caught up in the anti-pot propaganda that has been drilled into your head since you were a kid.

I don't agree with this at all. Alcoholism is a huge problem in this country. It hasn't been controlled at all.

The alcohol, tobacco, and pharmaceutical lobbies, have much deeper pockets than the weed lobby.

ive stopped plenty of times, for months sometimes, and the biggest problem was always the lack of reason to stay away from it.

No I think it's more personal experience. I think too many would use it to self medicate. I don't think people should use booze to do it either. It's not good. I suppose from time to time maybe it's how people cope with something, but day in day out waiting for 6pm for anything to alter their natural state...I don't know, sounds bad.

It sounds like your issue isn't with weed, but with inebriation in any form.

A few things from Mac's return address. He can't be trusted at all. If the Score had some balls, they would tell his ass he is doing weekends until further notice. He's lucky he even has a job, he should have been hired on the spot when he went to Mitch 8 weeks ago. He said the Blackhawks gave him the most support of any Chicago team, well duh, he's the one that forces the hockey talk on the Score. If not for Mac, there would be no hockey talk. If I was setting a betting line, I would say at least -200 for another fuck up, if not higher.

I smoked weed for twenty years and then quit, cold-turkey. No issues, except I liked getting high, but I was at a point where it was prudent to quit. I went almost ten years without and then recently started smoking again, and man... they've come a long way with the quality of product...

I have to admit it is serious but I still laughed when I heard he told Mitch to find some other dancing monkey.

Mitch has the patience of Job.

Welcome back, Mac.

Agreed, that was Dan trying to get fired because he was too chickenshit to quit.

*I am not saying you are doing this.*

But it is hard for some to hear this words because so many others have said similar things and they were just empty hollow words.

Personally, I have watched my brother make similar statements about everything from alcohol to pain pills to adultery....Nothing he ever did every affected anyone in his life. His wife and kids were fine and were not affected by his behavior. He was in complete control. He could stop at any time he wanted.

Again, I am not saying you are doing this or anyone that uses weed recreationally is.

We as a people learn quickly to justify whatever we want to do.

I'm not totally opposed to inebriation. I think it's bad when it's an ongoing or used to escape sadness thing. If you want to party balls out be my guest, but I think too often people use all of it including alcohol to escape.

Good call. Mac would have gotten his final months of salary if he's fired, not if he quits. Mitch called his bluff and worked to get him back. Mac got sober and came to his senses.

Still, Mac is up in June. This still might be his last run, everybody. Larry still could be back in middays.

Alcohol is a drug. Period. It can potentially be one of the worst. To think otherwise is incredibly naive. It isn't more easily controlled than anything else.

Dan McNeil's ratings will be better and will bill higher that any replacement show. Even with his salary and issues, having him is more profitable for the Score than not.

I think the issue with weed here isn't the recreational or weekend smoker. Weed, Alcohol, and anything else really, becomes a huge problem for somebody in Mac's shoes, or in RFDC's brothers situation.

As I said earlier, its wrong to completely demonize alcohol or pot, just as its wrong to completely absolve alcohol or pot. Both are drugs, and both have issues that come from using them.

Isn't NWI usually the stopping rather than starting point for people who want to rid themselves of everything and get away from society?

You're describing addiction, Frank. If it weren't one of those two, it would be something else.

I'm there with you. I've always been a guy that likes to have a drink but there isn't enough time in the day. The last time I probably had a drink was when I met you all and I can't recall my last drink before then. I probably get about 5 hours of sleep or less most days and some nights I wake up at about 4 to try to get a jump start on the day before I have to get the kids up for school. I don't drink coffee either. Now that they are going to be out for a couple of weeks I'll be able to squeeze a drink or 2 in.

Coffee is the only thing I enjoy at work. When I get home I:

1. pet the dog (b/c he greets me first)
2. say "hi" to the kids
3. kiss the wife
4. grab a bottle of booze
