The whole conversation is pretty foreign to me. I wake up early in the morning. I come home after a double digit work day. After I eat, most nights are spent on homework, coaching or going to games. That usually takes me into the 9 pm hour. I have to get to sleep soon after that just to get enough sleep so I am not dog tired the next day. There is almost no time to squeeze this into my day. Even if there was, I cannot remember the last time I have ever followed up a tough day and thought to myself "well I need a drink". It really never even enters the equation. I'm hardly against drinking. I certainly don't look down on it when appropriate. It's just kind of outside of ability to grasp the NEED for it.


I'm there with you. I've always been a guy that likes to have a drink but there isn't enough time in the day. The last time I probably had a drink was when I met you all and I can't recall my last drink before then. I probably get about 5 hours of sleep or less most days and some nights I wake up at about 4 to try to get a jump start on the day before I have to get the kids up for school. I don't drink coffee either. Now that they are going to be out for a couple of weeks I'll be able to squeeze a drink or 2 in.


I picture you telling your kids as they leave for school:

1. The lord loves a working man
2. Never trust whitey
3. when you catch it, see a doctor and get rid of it

Personally, I have watched my brother make similar statements about everything from alcohol to pain pills to adultery....Nothing he ever did every affected anyone in his life. Fair enough. I'm sure my words could come across as justification or denial, but I can assure you, they are not. My wife wouldn't put up with it, it if was a problem. She is a strong woman.

I try to be honest here, and anywhere in life. I find that it's the best policy. I have no problem taking an unpopular stance, if that's how it shakes out, but I will never be phony, or a liar. This is how I roll.

Welcome back Mac!

I haven't smoked since I was in college, when I smoked regularly. Once I graduated I just quit. I think pot should be legalized, but it is not right now, so I don't touch it due to not wanting to possibly be arrested and have my name out there as a "user". I'll stick with my relaxant of beer.

It's a case of me being the sole caretaker of two children, until she gets home. Priorities.

Right now, it isn't time to party.

She rarely smokes pot.

I care about why Dan was away and hope that the help he got did the trick and he's able to remain a healthy and productive human being. But I'm also really glad as a listener that he's back on the air because he makes my day better. How many people have the power to do that? How many can do that on a regular basis? Listening to him on the radio makes my day go faster and makes me happier. So thank you to the Score for re-installing him to the station and thanks to you Dan, for coming back and making my day brighter.

I'd also like to add that Finfer stole my "parody play" line of him telling Mac that "They lost all of the show pot money".

Mac laughed. Finfer never gave me credit. I "literally" put the words in his mouth.

dude, didn't you already make your own thread or two to comment on today's melo/drama? if so why are you attempting to re-rail the derailment of this thread? i put a lot of time and effort into de-railing this thread and now some ~7-8pgs after i did that it's more LOOK AT ME!!!! beardown stuff?

nah, if tiny dick was a big dick we wouldn't have these admonishment issues with him.... he'd be comfortable in his own skin, which would make a lot of sense seeing as he probably has enough skin to accommodate a family of 4 akin to a tauntaun in the dead of winter.
