I gotta wonder why Mac keeps looking OUTSIDE of his built-in comfort network for help and subsistence.

Not really knowing anything about Mac's wife that is not really fair to her, is it?

I've met her. She's... kinda saucy.

Sex, Panther?

You know what they say: 60% OF THE TIME, IT WORKS EVERY TIME!

Seriously, though, I don't mean just "sex". I mean comfort in the universal sense. May be a nice BJ after work, but it may also be a simple sympathetic ear.

For the record I was looking for "No, not right now... we've got work to do" but the sexpanther reference was an accectable hubstitute.

I haven't smoked since I was in college, when I smoked regularly. Once I graduated I just quit. I think pot should be legalized, but it is not right now, so I don't touch it due to not wanting to possibly be arrested and have my name out there as a "user". I'll stick with my relaxant of beer.

You're smart. WTF is a 50 year old Father and Husband doing sitting in his gazebo smoking weed and popping pills? Dumbass.

That';s what I don't get. His profession must accept it more than mine would, obviously. I know I don't want to bring that sort of shame on my daughter and wife, having to deal with the whispers and nasty stuff said. It's just not worth it to me, regardless of if it should be legalized or not, at this point it is illegal, so not worth the possible trouble.

I think youre overselling the whispers of people. Maybe we run with different crowds but most adults I know, even the ones who dont smoke, dont look at it as some dastardly activity.

Like Crack or heroin or something.

I guess that would be quite possible, if I smoked. You seem pretty sure of it.

But anyone who would have an issue with it or "make fun of me" for it, is not someone who I care about.

Again, though, I think you are just way off reality in your judgment of the whole issue. Your thoughts seem to come right out of the extremely flawed D.A.R.E. handbook.

They are probably saying "doesn't he know smoking is bad for him?"

Just rode the elevator down with two guys.

One complained of being jittery from two cups of coffee, so they agreed to stop at the bar before the open.

I need to switch to pot. Alcoholics suffer from this guilt shit. Pot smokers have clear consciences.

Who makes fun of someone for smoking weed? I might make fun of him if I saw him in the checkout line at American Girl.

I love the scene in Trading Places in the bathroom before the opening bell

Dan seems to be in a place like a great musician who is really known for one hit song. Everyone wants him to play it and fills up stadiums to hear it but he wants to play his new stuff.

There are people we know that are stoned quite a bit, there are some who do it occasionally at parties. The people that don't do it or the people that occasionally do it make comments about the ones that are doing it often.

Sort of. The times I've listened there isn't new stuff. It's very fluffy, not fun, not informative, there is a nothingness quality to this show for his part. Then Speigel makes it terrible.

Well, if someone is stoned all day...that's a little different

So you and you're sometimes smokin buddies make fun of people who do it nightly?

I guess I could see that. But this goes back to what I said, we run with different crowds. None of the people I hang out with would think like that.

Friend-wise I know very few who would have an issue. It comes down to my work and the ripple effect those "whispers" could have.
