 ah good to have mac back

Eddie Lacey being out would hurt the Packers more than Rodgers being out this week vs. the Bears.

Given the Bears run defense, this is not that outlandish of a statement.

The Bears run defense being so bad is what makes this a meatball thought.

You could get 150 yds Sunday vs the Bears run D.

That with Flynn under center is beatable.

That with Rodgers under center is a loss for the beloved.

I can see the logic in that statement, but we are talking a good running back versus an All-Pro caliber quarterback...

...also, I think the Rams proved you can stick pretty much any running back against that defense and get a 100 yards, so you really don't need anything special at that position to succeed.

edit: fuck I just agreed with RFDC...

Rodgers would be at least a little rusty if he played on Sun. Temps dipping into the single digits by halftime would not help.

I could not get 150 yards against the Bears defense. Bernsteen could though.

Rodgers won't matter. After 15 games, it's pretty clear that you don't need to do much to beat a Mel Tucker coached defense.

Oh Bernsie would go off for 250 on the ground and another 100 recieving.

I don't buy the Rodgers rusty thing. He might be rusty for a series, but then same ole Rodgers would show up and shreds the secondary.

No doubt he could.

Rodgers would.

Flynn could.

I will take my chances with could.

starks will have no problem running the ball if lacy can't play. if rodgers is announced as starter watch the line move 7-8 points towards the pack

the only person who has stopped a RB against the Bear defense since October is Rob Chudzinski

 Yes it is. As dolphin loves to point out, there's not a significant dropoff between Lacy and Starks. Compare that to the dropoff of the best QB in the league vs a QB that is struggling to stay in the league. It's a terrible thought.

Im glad Mac is back as well though.

 Love how mac says now that the Bears have lost that he does not claim to be a Bears fan, but an NFL fan.

So when the bears win he is a Bears fan. But when they lose he is an NFL fan.

how convenient

have i struck ANYBODY as a dyed-in-the-wool Bears fan in recent years? i cover the team.... find them fascinating. love it that so many people in this town are so passionate about them. for me, it's difficult to be a fan. i know too much about how they've done business. when you fuck over my friends, i'm done with you. the bears are product to me.... nothing more. the blackhawks are the only pro team in town i truly love. i'm fond of the sox, but it'll never ever be better than it was in '05 for a handful of reasons.

Sounds fair to me.

Weak. Bring back North.

He seems to be the only host in town that still actually likes the Bears.

Guess it's not cool to be a fan any longer.

Yep fair weather.

So the Blackhawks have not fucked over anyone? Give me a break.

When the Bears win it is all victory chicken and meatball mac running wild.

When they lose it is "I am an NFL fan"

Just makes me feel good.

What's wrong with being a meatball? The Score was built on meatballs.

I could care less whether you are a fan or not a fan, I do not need either to moderate a discussion.

I just want you to pick a side. Be a fan all the time or put on your damn cheese hat "NFL fan" all the time.

Don't be whatever is convenient based on the last game

that comment was for dr. ken, who misses north because he was a true bears fan.

by the way... "I COULDN'T care less...." not "I COULD care less.."

I'm tired of the Score position of hating people that really love the team and marginalizing them. That's what makes being a fan fun.

I always loved that Mac was the exception to that groupthink. I don't like this turn of events.
