He said Cutler needed to do more, but Rodgers' game was "special".
Huh? Cutler didn't fumble the ball on the drive in the second quarter. The three-and-out on the opening drive is on him -- but that's not enough to have a "meh" opinion about No. 6's game.
Rodgers being "special". Two picks -- one in the red zone (which led to a Bears touchdown), a fumble (which the Bears should have recovered). Conte should have had a second pick during the Packers' third TD drive. The game-winning TD was due to a blown coverage, Cobb was wide open -- even the so-so Cutler makes that completion.
I normally value what Miller has to say, but he was way off today.

I guess not doing shit in the 1st half doesn't count?

Did you not see the 80 yard TD drive highlighted by two great throws?

Can you at least attempt to be objective?

I'll take a TD pass over two picks and a fumble any time.
Like I said before, Jeffrey's fumble could have negated another scoring drive.

Nothing seems to get through the Jay Hate bubble for some people.

The offense started slow. Yeah it sucked, but the Bears were down by 6 points at halftime and gave themselves the lead 3 different times in the second half, and one of those leads was 8 points. I'll take that out of my offense 10 times out of 10.

Needed the defense to make one play, just one play. And they failed to do so on 4th down three different times yesterday. Those three failures, along with the 4th & 11 in Minnesota, is what cost the Bears the season. The quarterback wasn't on the field for any of those atrocities.

Coulda used the first A+ of his career

Bears first drive of the game was a 8 play, 80 yard drive for a TD?

Are you asking a question? Bears got the opening kickoff, Hester had a good return, Packers had a late hit penalty, and the Bears went 3 & out. Try again, bagman.

POint taken, but the defense played an F. Even if they had performed at a D+ level the outcome might be different. Its a team game.

Aaron Rodgers first playoff game he threw for 4 TDs, 400+ yards, put up 40 some points, and the Packers lost. A+, B, whatever, he still needed the defense to make just one play and it didn't happen.

That was the second drive. First drive was a 3-and-out starting in Packer territory.

Also, another reason for this thread is how highly Miller thought of Rodgers' performance. Jay does that and the Bears win -- No. 6 is going to receive a lot of heat, including some from Miller.

Well said.

I think that describes his game yesterday accurately and fairly.

Thank you

Ill amend it that he's had a couple A+ games

In fact, in 2008 after 3 games he was 3-0 with 10 TD's 2 int's and 914 yards with like a 125 RTG

Then something happened. Not sure what.

What about Jeffrey? Hard to give him higher than a C. Fumble, plus a catch he should have made on 3rd and 17 in the fourth.

Not his best game but as per usual he suffered due to Jay's desire to throw to Marshall

and remember that Cutler should not have thrown him the ball on that fumble. It was Cutlers fault.

Well done again.

That third down drop was huge.

Jeffrey makes a catch I'm sure he can usually make on 3rd and 17 in the 4th and Cutler goes from a B to an A, sucks for Jay.

Jeffery dropped it on purpose. He wants McCown to be QB

Cutler was off in the first half.

Three and outs against the Seahawks are one thing. Against the Packers D in a big game is entirely something else.

Call me crazy, but winning the division instead of losing it gets you a bump in your grade.

How do you rate getting picked off by Conte or allowing the Bears vaunted pass rush to cause a fumble.

Is it me or do some posters pass some of the blame for the loss on Cutler's 3 and outs?

I rate a rusty QB.

Similar to what Cutler did in the first half or so in the Browns game.

Three consecutive scoring drives in the second half, a fourth negated on a Jeffrey drop, doesn't balance out with the first-half 3 and outs??? Again, the Jeffrey fumble negated a possible scoring drive in the second quarter.
In the end, the sole reason the Bears lost this game was on the DEFENSE. They couldn't make fourth-down stops and their ignorance on the first-half fumble directly led to a Green Bay TD. That TD plus the Jeffrey fumble led the Packers 10 of the team's 13 points. The questionable rouging call led to the other score.
Where does Jay share the blame for the first-half deficit?

I'm not blaming anyone. Pointing out simple facts.

And I saw a defense yesterday that needs:

2 safeties

1 DE

2 LB

1 DT

Now I juxtapose what that is going cost, versus keeping a guy with 8 years in the league and 1 play off win on his resume.

And... I think the money is better spent elsewhere. No Cutler hate. Just a simple needs assessment.

Rodgers might have been "rusty", but he was hardly "special", like Miller stated, which was part of my original post.
I don't believe Rodgers deserve a pass for his play -- is kind of my point. I also didn't believe Jay deserved a pass in the Browns game. In both cases, each quarterback shook off early shortcomings to pick up the win. The difference, Rodgers is being praised for his play -- don't believe Cutler received as much of a rave review.

Rodgers was not special. That's ridiculous
