Was that Jonah Hill's penis or a prosthetic flailing around in the scene where he is jacking it in public?

It was Daniel Day Lewis in an uncredited role as Jonah Hill's penis

Yeah I think Gangs of New York and Catch me if you can were his best roles by far. He's ok in Django. Departed and Shutter Island sucked.

come on, "gangs of new york"? what was your favorite part of his performance? his off and on "irish" accent, or his inability to even pretend to look like a tough guy? there is one reason to see that movie, and it is solely for the performance of daniel day-lewis. other than that it's a huge mixed bag, and a lot of it is awful.

dere weren't nuttin oirish about dat lad's accent, fer fecks sake...

Although Tom and Nicole win the award for worse fucking Irish accents ever recorded for their "Far and Away" garbage.

I say this to my wife in full Tom Cruise accent quite frequently. Drives her nuts.

Y'ar.

Not ya'r.

And her name isn't even Shannon.

Gangs is awesome

DDL made it THAT good and the love story was barely noticeable (meaning it didn't get in the way of the plot)

So, I got a copy of this and just finished it.

I liked it. No way is it a best picture candidate. I have to say, I did not watch it in one viewing, I watched it over 3 days which probably helped. Jonah Hill was creepy. He's starting to put some poundage on. Those fucking teeth of his.

Worth a watch.

Three hours for this story? Motherfuck. Who is editing films in Hollywood these days? American Hustle actually felt longer than this. Leo was good. Not Oscar-worthy but his typical adult Leo self, which is basically a more refined Bradley Cooper. Marty still doesn't know how to end a movie. Boiler Room is the superior film about pump and dump stock schemes. This movie was just kind of there, existing as a vehicle for a film crew to do a job and create a product. It didn't suck but it didn't say anything profound. It was amusing in spots. Reiner was good. Wife was hot.

This and 'Prisoners' were the 2 best films I saw last year... I have to admit I haven't seen 'Twelve Years...'

I finally found 3 hours to watch this. It seemed like they tried to combine Wall Street and Boiler Room into one movie. I liked it but I expected a lot more.

Yep! Saw it last night. I had no clue it was 3 hours long. Friggin' "Lawrence of the Boiler Room". Enjoyed all the hookers scenes but the drugs these guys were doing should have made them vegetables 1/3 of the way in. I was entertained but really not much going on. Very repetitive and could have been completed in 2 hours.
