wont happen. the state of colorado would actually have the right to sue the federal government. Of course, the federal laws trump the state laws, but it could be debated that marijuana shouldnt be on the federal watch list. If that happened, there is a real chance colorado wins, which would destroy the federal law right there for all states. That is a scenario the feds DO NOT want, so nothing will happen. The feds will simply continue their losing campaign to jail as many potheads as they can until the law is federally changed through force (the majority of states legalize it).

this is different though, with a state giving 'recreational' grant for its use. its not a state saying "um.. can we do this if we present it like this?" its a state saying "fuck you, stay out of our business".
