I am so sick and tired of hearing fans bitch about announcers being for the other team.

In the last 30 mins I have read Missouri fans bitching that the CBS announcers are Auburn fans and I have read Auburn fans bitching that they are pro-Mizzou.

This seems to happen during every game. For the love of sandy STOP

You only hear what you want to hear. Stop being so butt hurt and having such a chip on your shoulder that your team is not getting the proper recognition

Can I still bitch about how bad Chip Caray was? Jesus, I hate him.
Like a lot.
I used to send him hate mail. I'd say, "You are not good. I do not like you".

I like that, Darko. Short and to the point.

Chip sucked.

JD is pretty bad and even worse when you consider the hype this guy had before coming to Chicago. He was supposed to be "JUST LIKE BB"

Does it count when Sox fans complain about Hawk just sucking?

I heartily endorse complaining about announcers, but not in the context of college football. Oh my god shut up you SEC weirdos.

Wait until their teams are so bad they get Beth Mowins every week and get back to me.

This has to only apply to national guys.

They all seem pretty nuetral. Herbstreit sounds like a dickhead IMO but he sounds like the same dichead for every team and every game. Craig James was an opinionated sack of shit but he is long gone these days.

Buck and Aikmen are the only 2 national guys I think have a bit of an agenda. I don't think Troy roots for his team as much as you can tell when he doesn't like a team and has a condescending tone about him during the entire game. As far as Buck its his baseball where you know he is a Cardinals fan and no matter how hard he tries to be neutral everyone knows he is a cardinals fan at heart.

Fox baseball is tough on Cubs fans between Joe Buck, who is a scion of the rival team, and Thom Brennaman, who left the Cubs on bad terms.

No shit.

I read how bummed Astros fans were he was leaving but struck me as a run of the mill guy. I'm still pissed they fucked over Brenly.

When him & Troy call a Cowboys game, he's biased towards the Cowboys, just to suck up to Troy.
When they call the Packers, he's biased towards the Packers just to piss off Bears fans.

Buck just hates Chicago. Everything Chicago. His vitriol towards the Cubs has spread to anything within this city.

But they aren't the only two w/ Biases. Nantz & Sims are VERY pro-Patriots.

I would prefer it if Tracy Wolfson were not speaking on TV.

It certainly counts when Cubs fans start countless threads about the Sox radio and TV guys?

I always liked Pat Sommerall. He was a man of few words.

Yeah,I know:even fewer now that he's dead.

I think announcers are surplus on television. What the fuck do they really tell you? I'm listening to Mike Tirico and wondering why he is even there. He is literally describing what I can see. And he gets paid well to do that. The time, down and distance, score and timeouts are all on the screen. Just have Gruden break down the plays if you want a person there. He can talk enough for two guys. Tirico isn't entertaining or engaging. Might as well have Jeff Joniak calling the game with Gruden. But, you know, everyone thinks you have to have them. It's just the way things are done. Like it would take away from a person's enjoyment of a sporting event if a bland generic stuffed shirt was removed from the experience.

There was a night last season where TNT tried to dispense with play-by-play and just had Steve Kerr as kind of the primus inter pares of three analysts. I thought it was an enjoyable spin on a telecast, but I don't think I'd want it to become the standard.

Speaking of the butterscotch sex fiend, boy, I couldn't get enough of those spots running last week:

Nice of Troy to go out of his way during the Seahawks 49ers game to take a shot at the packers.... And of course it's right before they play his beloved cowboys. Someone in the game did that corner of the front of the end zone/ push off and come back play.......the same play Marshall executes very well. Well he added that its a push off and some teams , primarily the packers, do this all the time and never get called. Way to go and prime the refs before your boys play them you asshat.

I'd like to agree with this thread, but after watching the last two games Joe Buck has called, there is no way you can honestly tell me he is not pulling for the Packers.

He's a fan of teams that do it the right way.

Let's also not rule out Rodgers and him prolly had a thing.

I don't mind when Brent Musberger is biased as you know he has fully INVESTED in a particular side.
