Couldn't you say the same thing about Cutler when it comes to Marshall? They're pretty much the same player except Stafford is younger. He gets the edge because of this.

My point is that if you get a quarterback in round 4 the best reasonable expectation you can have is to get someone like Kyle Orton. You hope he develops into an acceptable starter or quality backup. There is a chance he becomes Tom Brady or Tony Romo but you can't build your franchise around the hope that his ceiling is anything but good enough to be a NFL starter.

We won't know until the draft gets closer. Players will rise and fall.

It doesn't really matter now anyways. There may have been no good option in round 1 and they'd have to go somewhere else and then get someone in round 2. Neither of those are an option now.

Undecided on Kaepernick vs Cutler?

I find it amazing how we are sitting here trying to figure out how Jay Cutler is better than Matt Stafford and Kapernick when we should be looking at just how small the difference is between Jay Cutler and Carson Palmer.

Correct. Haven't been a huge fan of Kap. Love his running, but don't like that being such a big part of his game. That said, it's really close. Don't think anyone is wrong for preferring Kap over Cutler.

That is SOOO not true. The ESPN stats dept developed it. They had a bunch of people give advice, including Dilfer.

Yea, they are pretty close.

They were back to back in QBR and close in QB rating. It's not controversial to think they are close. And like I said, I don't think anyone is wrong to prefer Kap.

So we are judging QB's based solely on their quarterback rating? That is a bad idea.

The only reason Brick likes Bradford better than Cutler is he is not in a Bears uniform.

If Bradford were here he would hate him as well.

I don't believe Bradford is better but their stats are similar and he's never had the offensive talent Cutler has. I can see how someone could believe that. Talent wise only a handful of guys are better than Cutler but when you look at production you'll see guys like Ponder (2012) having identical numbers.

Cutler has missed games in each of the last four seasons where Bradford has missed games in 2/4 seasons. Stats are very similar as well. Nobody is saying Bradford is a game changing qb worth 22 million but Cutler is?

I don't think I said he was better than Cutler. Just similar.

Cutler lovers just can't stand the fact that it's even a conversation with guys like Bradford and Palmer. It doesn't fit with how they wish Cutler was.

Troll troll troll your boat. I don't even know what point you're trying to make, but all I know is your projecting opinions that I certainly don't have. But I agree with you, Cutler is better than Bradford.

I think the Cutler Ass Lickers Lodge™ have fallen in love with his talent (top 5) but overlook his mediocre production. The eye test tells you he's better than guys like Ponder but then you look at the stats and they're identical. At some point you have to ignore the talent.
