Its a legit question at this point. Peyton Manning is talked about quite a bit for some of his lack of postseason success. Rodgers has had three years of 1 and done.

Boilermaker Rick wrote:
Given your stance this year in Bears losses(non-McCown games) shouldn't you be blaming the Green Bay defense for those 3 years of one and done?
The D and Coach are to be blamed for this year's loss in Minnesota, but keep on BRicking.

He's not BRicking. He's calling you out for your blatant hypocrisy. The last time Rodgers had even an average defense he won the Super Bowl. So make up your mind on how you wish to evaluate franchise QBs and be consistent about it.

I guess growing up around Bears fans it's hard for me to be upset that I have seen my team win two Super Bowls already. That seems like a fair amount. Hard to expect a lot more with how hard it is to win one. Its pretty funny that Bear fans are critical of this.

That ONE playoff win over the 7-9 Seahawks was the highlight of Cutler's career and Cutler apologists are here in this thread talking shit about Rodgers because he's 5-4 in the playoffs with "only" one Super Bowl win in his 6 years as a starter.

I just want this one question answered Frank: Is it worse for a QB to miss the playoffs for 4 of 5 seasons or worse for a QB to make the playoffs for 5 straight seasons and go 1 and done in the last three?(being the underdog in two of those three going in)

I am not sure why you turn this int a Bear fan thing. I was asking a serious question, not trolling you guys. Thankfully Hawg is an objective Packer fan around here. The rest of you guys should follow his lead.

Why are you so mad, FF? I thought you enjoyed the season?

I think this year above all others has shown that the Packers are a one man team. Their fortunes rise and fall with Rodgers like no other team in the league. Those teammates should be chipping in 10% of their salary to him. Even guys like Jordy Nelson are a creation of Rodgers ability

He is a better runner of the football than Forte. Not really an out on a limb statement.

He can break more tackles. Unfortunately, guys seem to be tackling him all the time.

Forte averaged 0.5 yards more per carry and is a far better receiver.

In fairness to Fatty, it does take a few to get him down.

I didn't say all purpose back . I said running back. Watching that game yesterday Forte would've had about 30 yards for the game had he run those same plays.

Fatty is a plus in pass blocking unlike that matador Forte.

He does earn just about every yard. Has he ever made anyone miss? At worst he'll have a long career as a short yardage back.

Fortunately Forte played in other games beside the Eagles game. He's one of the best pass blockers in the NFL.

Maybe. But he also would have caught that screen in the flat when nobody was within 30 yards of him.

Yes, with his spin move. He has some pretty good feet.

I thought they were both good, I didn't expect to run the ball as well as the Packers did yesterday.

That killed me when he didn't catch it, he should have pretended he was catching a sammich.

Yeah I'm not sure what COF's question is about.

Even though good dolphin is about as wrong as one man can be about Lacy, let's not go crazy. He's nowhere near as good as Forte. Forte is a top 5 back coming off another great year. Lacy had a good rookie season. No comparison really.

All things being equal I'll be more than content to have Lacy running the ball for my team than Forte any day of the week. I'll take the lack of breaking 40 yard runs once in a while with consistently having zero YAC and being arm tackled .

Interesting point by good dolphin in suggesting the Pack are a one man team. I think we would see similar records if other top tier starting qbs were injured like Rodgers....But its hard to argue that he is isnt MVP material every year.

Peyton had Brady to contend with. I really want Peyton to get another this year. Remember that he lost one too.

Brees was on two teams, so one SB for him is acceptable to me for now. But he has to get there again...

It's a style thing my friend. It sounds like you like the bruising types of running backs. That's fine. However you can't dismiss what Forte does running the ball. He's not a breakaway runner either so there aren't a ton of long runs. He makes people miss and he's about as consistent as they come running the ball and catching the ball. While it isn't pretty he ends the season with over a 4 yards a carry average behind some awful run blocking offensive lines. He's an elite all around back.

I just don't know how you can think a back is so good when he can't be counted on to get tough yards in short yardage, break that first tackle in the backfield and bail out the o-line who missed the block once in awhile, and surge ahead or just drag the fucking guy the half yard you need. Hell its easy to run when nobody touches you for 5 yards . Maybe I don't give Forte enough credit for being the type of runner he is but he's far from an elite runner of the ball.
