It's not June yet and football season is still ongoing. All this baseball/HoF talk is nauseating. Maaaaybe after the NFL draft should the baseball talk commence.

Crazy shit happens. I don't think its that absurd to say a 7-9 team could be playing in the Super Bowl soon, especially if the NFL playoffs expand.

That 8-7-1 team didn't come close to the Super Bowl.

It's highly unlikely. Hasn't a 7-9 team made the playoffs one time in NFL history? I may be wrong on that.

Of course if the playoffs expand it has a better chance but right now it's highly unlikely we ever see a 7-9 Super Bowl winner.

RPB, I'd also like to add our baseball team won't be playing this year either. I mean, they'll be playing but certainly not of MLB quality. I still have them penciled in as a wild card though.
