You know I hate it when other black people like that caller Nate try and link a bunch of morons to the Black community like that. It really pisses me off. Him with his ignorant "streed cred" comments was ridiculous. If anything rich Black athletes should care what "rich whites" and the "white media" care about them because they are the ones playing their salaries. It ain't Pookie in the hood because he can't afford them high ass ticket prices. That had to be the dumbest call MJH has ever taken on air.

was that his ultimate point? or was he saying these athletes should NOT be thinking about street cred? i couldn't tell, the guy rambled pretty long.

if that was his point, you're right, it's an embarrassment. just, generally, people of the world, STOP sticking up for idiots.

Good point Bill and you are right. But the guy's tone and explanation came off as he was the spokesperson for Black America and that a majority of Blacks felt like him. I just try to be a different voice and say that our community is just as diverse as everyone elses, which is exactly what you are saying.

Is that STU-GOTZ calling in about Lance should have run from the scene? Seriously.

I thought the point he was trying to convey was that alot of black athletes care about street cred. They would rather have their brothas respect then respect from the white media. He was saying this is a problem and they, as a community, need to work to change that mentality. I could be wrong, but thats what I heard. If thats correct, I dont find the call to be all that stupid. He didnt organize his points very well, but Jurko seemed to get it and I came to the same conclusion

I think the point is, if you are driving drunk and crash your car when nobody is around would you call the cops on yourself and get arrested for DUI, or do you bail and get cited for leaving the scene? I'm not sure which is worse from a legal standpoint (I would assume it's a DUI), but from an NFL standpoint I'm sure it's a DUI.

I understood the point but I wondered if that was seriously STU-GOTZ. The guy's name was Chris and I've heard STU call in before.

I was just wondering because it sounded like the guy wanted to get Mac in a choke hold in the parking lot.

Oh. Yeah, could have been. Wouldn't surprise me if Stu was faced with the decision before.

  I hoped one of you guys caught that. The funny thing is Harry's getting shit for saying Lance did the right thing. He did in a sense get out of a DUI and it was not the right thing to do but the smart thing to do.

I wanted to go on as Stu-Gotz but last time I tried they said no.

At least it was entertaining. You should call in more often.

I do find it somewhat odd that:

Eddie Murphy gets busted with a transvestite and it's big news several years ago.
...and one of today's biggest white comic actors (Owen Wilson) tries to kill himself - and the story gets buried like a razor in his left wrist.

But on the flipside, Tom Brady gets hammered in the media for having a child out of wedlock. Meanwhile 28 year old Travis Henry has 9 kids with 9 different mothers in 4 different states, and it just kind of gets brushed under Marv Albert's rug.

It's fun to wake up in the morning and say "I remember posting on CSFMB, but I'm not sure how long I did, I better hit the View My Posts" option.

By the way STU, a very nice call by you.

Luckily it's the internet, so you can just create a new account. If you posted something that takes down your reputation on the internet, you can always come back as FavreFan87.

It would have been bigger news if he hadn't FAILED. A spoiled, self indulgent fool tries to kill himself, too f'ng bad.
