Yep. That 96 loss season really has Theo & Co. on the right track now!

Is 99 losses better?

How many playoff wins for the White Sox in the Obama administration?

If the Sox do sign Tanaka, the Cubs might as well just close up shop. Cub fans will be committing harakiri on the streets of Lakeview.

If the Sox would sign him I look forward to the major flip for Keyser. He has been making sure to question him and anyone who signs up so he can blast the Cubs again in the future. But if the Sox sign him I am sure that will all change.

So bigfan-- Mr Baseball, Mr Southside-- you think the Sox need to play some games to show their rebuild work, what does that say about the Cubs current rebuild which is coming off its third consecutive 90 loss season?

Yes, the Cubs had a better record in 2013. They won a whopping 3 more games than the White Sox. Time to celebrate!

yes, I think the Sox need to be over .500 to show that they have done something worth while.

The point of saying the cubs had a better record is that if the Cubs are so bad, so terrible, intentionally tanking, not sure what that said about the sox who had a over $100Mill payroll and tried to win? The best I hear is that "They tried" so it makes it a better effort? Did the Sox get a "Certificate of Participation " for this Effort?

I will tear into the cubs worse than any Sox fan can imagine if the plan they have does not come together, but I have not declared it a success or a failure yet.

What RPB and other have pointed out is that Hahn, who has done a good job is being given the benefit of doubt that everyone he acquired is going to work out. Adam Eaton is going to be a great on base lead off guy (How anyone could be better than Jordan danks, I am not sure)....but they need to play before the Hahn plan is given credit.

About 5 years ago the Reds had 5 of the top 25 prospects in baseball. Not that they have dominated but they have been very good. Add some better free agents and that could have been a World Series teams.

The cubs have 5 top 30 prospects as well as 6 of the top 30 international prospects and a couple of guys at the ML level. But everyone already knew all that

More importantly, the Cubs are doing a great job of stocking/developing young talent and that will be changing the climate of Baseball on the North Side for many years to come. The White Sox can do whatever they want to, to try to quickly put a team together that can avoid losing 99 games again this season. But there is no way to know if many of the players they have traded for/signed as Free Agents are going to work out. Developing players as the Cubs are are, is a more likely system to provide long-term sustained success.

Please also only refer to me now as Mr Baseball, unless addressing WHITE SOX BUSINESS, or matters pertaining to the Southside, then you can call me MR SOUTHSIDE
