Now we get the two most insufferable teams in the league next week. Great.

The first half had some of the worst officiating I've ever seen, reminiscent of the NBA playoffs at their very worst, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Carolina hasn't done anything in the second half. I hate the Chargers but I'm dreading similar favoritism in the next game so the vaunted Brady/Manning match-up can complement the Carroll/Harbaugh one.

They both deserve to be there though. Looking forward to it.

Debatable for 49ers. The referees helped them immensely in the 1st half. Their 3 scores were directly related to refereeing. Yes, Carolina failed to execute at times but tough playing against 9ers and refs.

Scored 10 points. Think they were going to hold SF to 9 to win the game?

The 49ers were the better team. Jay Cutler and the Bears are just lucky they didn't have to play that 49ers defense. I definitely wanted to see the 49ers versus Seattle more than Carolina and Seattle. I think the 49er defense should be able to stop the Seattle offense. Really Seattle could easily have lost the game yesterday. Home field and the weather made up for poor offensive execution.

The league is going to have to address shit calls like this. Might as well put flags on the QB's waist.

What they need to do is take calls like that out if the officials hands and let the league office review questionable hits later in the week. They can hand out fines/suspensions for illegal hits later and not let horrible calls like that one effect the outcome of games. It's ridiculous as it stands.
