Detectives searching Justin Bieber's Calabasas mansion Tuesday during an investigation into an egging case arrested one of the singer's associates on felony drug charges after cocaine was found in plain view.

L.A. County sheriff's investigators did not immediately identify who was arrested but said it was not Bieber. Lt. Dave Thompson said the drug they found was cocaine.

"The cocaine I believe was in plain view of the deputies when they were looking for the other evidence," he said in a news conference following the arrest.

Labeling Bieber a suspect in Thursday's egging incident, sheriff's detectives served a felony search warrant looking for "video surveillance or other relevant evidence" in the case.

Bieber "has not been arrested nor has he been exonerated," Sheriff's Lt. David Thompson said at a news conference following the search.

"We were looking at things that would put him or anything else at the scene," Thompson added.

The egging incident marks the latest clash between the pop star and his neighbors, who have accused him of throwing loud parties and speeding through the neighborhood.

The neighbor called authorities last week, saying someone was pelting
his home with eggs, said sheriff's Sgt. Dan Nagelmann of the Malibu/Lost Hills station.

The neighbor was home with his daughter at the time, Nagelmann said, adding that deputies who went to the scene found no one outside.

Whitmore said the egging incident was determined to be a felony because of the several thousands of dollars worth of damage that occurred.

Bieber has been at the center of a number of controversies that have caused friction with his neighbors in the wealthy, gated community where he lives.

In a grainy video posted on TMZ that purportedly documents the incident, a man standing in the doorway of a home exchanges expletives with a voice outside before telling someone in the house to call authorities.

“I got another one for you, actually,” the person outside yells back in the video, before apparently hitting the house with more eggs.

Sheriff’s deputies said video footage and photos had been submitted as evidence.

Nagelmann said the neighbor told deputies he had seen Bieber throwing the eggs. The offense in the initial police report is listed as misdemeanor vandalism, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said it was unknown what prompted the egging.

Why not buy one of those mountain top places without neighbors? and a condo closer to W Hollywood.

And a Zip line in between the 2!

Tampering with mailboxes is a felony offense.

Its felony vandalism because of the amount of damage. $ can add up in a hurry with rich people's homes. I doubt this is much of a deal in a normal situation but these neighbors hate him and the DA has wanted to nail the fuck out of him for some time but never has a good case.

His left ball slobberer was busted for that cool Molly shit all the club kids are taking these days....not coke. Glowsticks FTW!!

the police's opinion of "plain view" is much more liberal than that of the rest of the world and this is going to get tossed.

Kinda read weird to me to issue a search warrant in relation to an "egging incident". I could care less if the kid gets shipped off to Abu Dhabi, but it seems a bit odd.

I'm pretty sure there is already video footage of it in addition to whatever they get off his security system they confiscated.

Agreed, but I don't think this was necessarily normal. An isolated incident without any real damage and the cops probably show up and just give a "don't be an asshole" type verbal warning.

With Beiber, I think the police and neighbors wanted to nail him, so I'm sure they were just waiting for him to slip up the least little bit and they would pounce. There was that issue with him speeding thru the neighborhood not all that long ago, and odds are there have been other run ins between Beiber and the cops/neighbors.

TORONTO—
Canadian pop star Justin Bieber appeared at a Toronto police station on Wednesday after reports that he would be charged with assault over a December incident in the city involving a limousine driver.

Bieber arrived in a black SUV and was met by a crowd of journalists as well as screaming fans braving temperatures of minus 10 Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit).

Wearing a baseball cap on backwards and hooded black coat, Bieber was mobbed by photographers and fans pushing for a closer look as bodyguards and police officers cleared a path for him to enter the station.

Earlier, Toronto police said on their Twitter feed that they could not confirm information in the media about Bieber. Staff Sergeant Deb Abbott at the station told Reuters that if someone notable were charged, police would issue a press statement and there would be no press conference.

Bieber's representatives declined to immediately comment on the reported charges.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp, citing unidentified police sources, said Bieber would be charged in relation to an incident that happened in December after he attended a Toronto Maple Leafs game.

Bieber, 19, has been in trouble with authorities in the United States this month. He was charged with driving under the influence in Miami after police caught him drag racing a rented Lamborghini. He told police he had taken prescription medicine, had been smoking marijuana and had consumed alcohol.

According to court records, he pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to those charges in a written plea submitted by his lawyer. If convicted, Bieber could face up to six months in prison, although experts say he is likely to receive a lighter sentence because it would be his first offence.

Bieber is scheduled to make a court appearance on Feb. 14 to formally answer the charges. He was also charged with driving on an expired license and resisting arrest without violence.

Bieber, a native of Ontario, Canada, first shot to fame as a child when his mother posted YouTube videos of him singing. He became a musical and social media sensation with a devoted following of young, mainly female fans.

The "Boyfriend" singer's life off-stage has been rocky in the last year with problems ranging from scuffling with paparazzi in London to a felony investigation into whether he pelted a neighbor's house with eggs in his gated community near Los Angeles.

Also On Wednesday, a online petition asking the Obama administration to deport Bieber after his Miami arrest from the United States, passed the 100,000 signature threshold required for a White House response.

Bieber was unlikely to be deported because federal law dictates that a visa can only be revoked or denied for a conviction of a violent crime with a minimum one year prison sentence.

He has made 100's of millions which separates him from old teen idols, guys like David Cassidy & Bobby Sherman who still got to perform at carnivals and summer fests to make a buck. Soon as his "fans" reach puberty, they will vanish and move on to adult music.
