Maybe it is now. And I wouldn't say that's such a bad thing, would you? Or do you think it's every man's inalienable right to act like a douchebag without consequence?

Must be.

"Hey pal. can you turn off your phone?" If the phone goes off this thread never gets started.

Two men and no ability or want to settle things peacefully.

Oh, and now it appears that the bullet hit his wife first before killing him.

So now she has to live with the fact that in trying to stop her husband from arguing with an idiot, she deflected the bullet causing a fatal wound.

She should be ashamed of herself.

I believe in man's inalienable right to expect a split lip or black eye for acting like a douchebag. But maybe that's too much to expect in a world that seems to be full of itchy trigger fingered motherfuckers.

Well, as long as we are focused on what the victims did wrong, I think she should have dragged her husband away.

She had a choice that affected the ultimate outcome. She made her choice.

Now she must always live with this guilt. Tragic, really.

So is this just for movie theater shootings? Would this apply to kids getting bullied to the point they decide to bring and discharge weapons at school as well? I mean, with kids it's even more to be expected since they don't make the most rational choices to begin with. It would go far in eliminating some of the weepy hemming and hawing of victims' parents going "how could this happen", so there's that to look forward to, which is nice.

JORR's "Chicago Tough" - shoot someone, anyone, just for being a douchebag. Completely normal.

I'm glad to see that some people still like to blame the victim, in situations like this.

Did you read the article leash?

It appears that is what she tried to do. Somewhat strange you would think her first reaction would be guilt rather than profound sadness..

Sad to see that you are unable to comprehend the fact that the dad bears some responsibility in his death.

Well, I'm not shooting anyone. I assume you wouldn't either, though your rage over innocuous message board discussions does suggest the potential for becoming unhinged over a real affront.
But if a shooting every now and then results in better manners in the public square, I'm not sad about it.

Strawman anybody? Between the numerous strawmen you have set up, and the insults you have hurled at others, you have come off very poorly in this thread. Maybe it isn't your intention, but your posts read as if you put most of the blame on the dead guy.

The shooter could have moved, or got an employee of the theater to intervene, but by all means, keep saying that the dead guy should have handled it differently.

You really should stop accusing others of setting up strawmen. Nobody does it more than you.

I've clearly stated they both could have handled it differently. You are either ignoring these facts, or just choosing to ignore them.

The dead guy bears some responsibility in this. Period.

The guy never should have shot him. Period.

I think we're missing the blame that needs to be placed on the concessions person that sold the deceased the popcorn that was thrown at the gunman that caused him to kill the guy. Unless we're ignoring it, because just like the victim, his share of the blame, while greater than zero, doesn't merit that much discussion.

We also must blame the farmer who grew the corn. If he hadn't grown that corn, a little girl would still have her father.

If the texting was so objectionable, the cop could have moved to a different seat. If something like another person texting in public, is going to send you into fits of rage, stay the fuck home.

You get in the gutter almost every time you attack chas. Who are you kidding.

You go after him the same way I do, by asking him why he is a hypocrite about takers. You have been straight up insulting several people this entire thread.

And then you attacked me without even reading the report of the shooting.

I attacked you? I said it was sad that some people blamed the victim. Did you borrow Chas' victim card?

Man in glass house throwing stones alert.

Says the king of the straw man. I'm glad that you still have an arsenal of stones, you're going to need them.

Have a nice day.
