Anyone seen this yet or planning on it? It is finally coming to Gurnee Mills so I will be going to see
it this weekend. I know a lot of critics love it and I tend to enjoy a good Coen Bros movie but hadn't
heard from an actual "movie goer" and where they weigh in on it.

Ended up seeing this Friday night in Gurnee. Love the Coen Bros and am generally interested in the
early 60s NYC folk scene. Good acting and dialogue. Beautiful cinematography and use of soundtrack,
especially the studio song about Kennedy. In the end I walked out scratching my head wondering exactly
what I paid my $11.50 for. I just felt it was misssing a complete storyline, almost like I was dropped into
the middle of a movie and pulled out of it before it was over. A bit frustrating.

On a positive note, I enjoyed the theater experience. I grew up going to the theater in Gurnee and they
have kept it up nicely. The theater I go to in Kenosha is filthy and a joke. Gurnee had immaculate
conditions and and awesome sound system. I also didn't realize they put in some kind of extra large screen
in one of the theaters as well which I thought would be cool if watching the right movie.

Saw this last night. Felt similar to you, T-Bone. We're dropped in Llewyn's life for about a week, then we're out. Scale of 1-5, I'd give it a 6.

John Goodman alone makes it worth watching.

He's really had some solid supporting roles the last few years. Nice to see him back on the big screen.

This was decent. It felt Barton Fink-like in that I got the feeling Llewyn was in some kind of limbo/purgatory realm. Lots of metaphors and symbolism in this film. Llewyn's life is on repeat. He ends up at the same places over and over. Llewyn is the cat. Or the cat is Llewyn's folk music career.

Better movie than I thought it would be. Good story, great acting. Coen brothers def know what they are doing behind a camera.
