Im pretty much done with going to evening movies thats for sure. This case being the exception of course but people are generally a bit more reserved during matinees than at night.

I understand the deceased could have walked away but I think that's an odd thing to focus on. I think his daughter will be more consumed with gun violence or random violence than her dads supposed lack of restraint.

Same with the wife deflecting the bullet. I don't think shell concentrate on her part but who knows


IMO, JORR is being sincere. I can imagine situations where I woulkdnt be too upset someone was killed (I.e. a guy who loves to start fights in bars getting shot in a fight) it just doesn't qualify in this situation

My educated guess is that this former cop was looking for a confrontation. I think the report about him following a woman to the bathroom in the same movie theater weeks earlier speaks very much to that. I would guess this guy probably didn't like the idea of people not listening to him after having a job where people had to listen to him for 30 years.

Also guessing he was depressed.


Anyway, its tragic anyway you slice it and the harsh reality is we have no power to stop these things

He won't find it because that isn't true. What I said was caffeine can definitely affect someone while driving. I can speak from personal experience. I'm not a regular coffee drinker. On the rare occasions when I've had a few cups at breakfast and gotten behind the wheel, I've been very cognizant that my abilities were impaired to some degree. Now, that probably doesn't happen with a junkie like Rick who chugs the stuff like it's going out of style, but that hardly makes it less of a drug.

I don't think it's an absolute. It depends on one's tolerance for each drug and the amount ingested. You may not see caffeine as a drug because our society doesn't treat it as one.

Assuming we are talking about similar types of usage(as in, not someone on 25 cups of coffee vs. a person who had a sip of Apple Pucker), you are making an argument that driving on caffeine is worse than driving on alcohol but only in some cases.

Let's make this simple. Let's say a man has drank enough alcohol to be at .09. How much coffee would he have to drink in order to be more of a danger on the road?

Does anyone else remember a segment called "Florida or Germany"? I think maybe Dahl and Meier did it, but it could have been B&b or someone else. Anyway, they would read some weird story (Example: A guy running a meth lab in a golf course port-a-john) and a caller had to choose whether it occurred in Florida or Germany.
