July 18 - Playing Wrigley
Opening act -Clark the Bear

from the Email I got, tickets are $120, $90 and $44. Not bad I guess.

Wont be the Pearl Jam Windfall from last summer, but I guess someone will still buy mine for more than I am going to pay

I've never understood the popularity of Billy Joel. Everything about him just screams mediocrity.

Me neither. He has a handful of good songs, but that doesn't justify caring about him on any real level. Who doesn't have a few good songs?

I'd rather sit through a five hour opera than have to listen to Billy Joel.

Sing us a song you're the piano man...

Ugh. Where's my cyanide pill??

This is 100% correct. Both U2 and Oasis have many, many good songs.

There aren't that many acts capable of selling out a 35,000+ seat venue. Who would you have play there?

I would tend to agree with your assessment but the fan base has to be able to afford the high ticket prices.
Hipsters living in their parents basements usually have their money tied up in skinny jeans and fedoras.

I don't think he's terrible, just never understood the legendary status. He belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Very Good.
