Saw the Bio on all of them. They really got screwed. So did Sherwood Schwartz originally.

for a split second i thought that some hybrid of the bobcats' owner and russell simmons died. then i loaded up the thread and i realized that i cared even less. still tho, another cultural icon i spose, even tho he wasn't as quintessential as bob denver and/or the bitches (sticking with the "b" euphony there; no misogyny intended!)

Anyone else ever see the pilot episode which featured a different Professor, Ginger & Mary Ann?

I was also surprised to learn the Gilligan's Island only ran for 2 seasons.

The song ended differently the first season. Instead of "the Professor and Mary Ann" it was "and the rest." We laughed and laughed about that as kids.

The obit in the Tribune said that Mary Ann and the Professor complained about the song leaving them out; that is why they changed it.
