This was a really good one. We all know the story, and there isn't a whole lot of new info in this, but the amazing part is watching Tonya Harding's psycho ass deny and deny and deny everything to this day. She even goes on the attack in the 2nd half of the documentary. It was really strange.....

I just wish Kerrigan would have agreed to take part in the show.

How do we know she's lying? I forgot a lot of the details of the story. I watch for about 20 mins.

1. She accepted a plea deal. That usually = I'm saving my own ass.

2. Her husband says she was the brains behind the operation. The local police, news reporters and FBI (!) all do a great job of showing how the 3 guys involved couldn't possibly have been the "brains". That part was pretty hysterical actually.

3.The raw passion/anger/venow toward Nancy (from Tonya) tonight spoke volumes, IMO. It's been 20 years....

You should read that article Jorr linked in the other figure skating thread

It might not change your mind but it provides an interesting view.

I don't believe she was the brains behind it.

My viewpoint prior to tonight was that she knew what was going on, but was essentially not involved in the execution.

Tonya was amazing in this show tonight. For 45 minutes you feel bad for her - terrible upbringing, surrounded by bad people, etc. That all ended 20 years ago. Yet today she literally hates Nancy. She could not wait to bash her in this show. It just seemed so........telling.

We have a figure skating thread?

Yeah, I don't believe she didn't know what was going on, but I can understand her rancor toward Kerrigan. Kerrigan was the darling and Harding was "white trash".

I really wish Kerrigan would have agreed to be on the show. Just to get her view point 20 years later. I understand the want to move on now though, especially with 3 kids......

.......with her husband that could easily be her GRANDfather.

Wasn't he her manager and his original wife like a second mother to Kerrigan?

I may be overstating it, but if I remember correctly, with the guy managing her, she was close to his family and had had dinner at their house on many occasions and was quite friendly with the wife.

So he left his wife for Kerrigan? In addition to the big age difference and professional relationship? Yeesh.

I was a little surprised that she clearly avoided this 30for30 like the plague, and yet he agreed to take part. That's kinda strange, no?

Yeah, but the press turned on her after the Olympics. And I think she was always very introverted and shy with the media.

They did a good job of showing that tonight. She was definitely the "introvert" of the two.

I think she has a head full of marbles that wouldn't have had the ability to recollect an event 20 years past....dumb mush mouth with a nice ass that had men drooling for about a month
