It's such a simple-minded idea of being a fan. "If you don't like it, don't go."

The reason you are a fan is because you care about the team, win or lose. Losing? Just give up then, don't have a negative or conflicting view of whatever management is doing. I've been through multiple "plans". Some very similar to this ground-breaking plan. Theo is the new Andy MacPhail. Excuse me for having some skepticism.

Dallas Green had a great plan too. But, that was a different time and the CBA was different and Reagan was president and computers weren't even used back then and people used their eyes, can you imagine? THEIR EYES   to look at players and make judgments and Kathleen Turner was still hot back then and and and and...

I hope to hell this works but that doesn't mean I have to like the process or leave.

Right. And you wouldn't be insane or an idiot or "baseball retarded" to want them to sign Jhonny Peralta and Ubauldo Jimenez for three years each. It just might get you to 83-85 wins and then who knows? And when Bryant and Baez come up and are Longoria and Cano, I'm sure you can find somewhere for Peralta to play and you don't really have a problem at all. And those are just names I'm throwing out there. But it isn't really too much to ask a "big market heritage franchise" to field a big league team.

You would be "baseball retarded" with Jimenez. He sucks.

How about this? I'll bet you $100 right now he has a better 2014 season than Tanaka.

Damn, intriguing wager. Can we wait until we know which teams they are on?

And Lord help them if they call into a sports talk show unawares.

What fan thinks Clark the Mascot is having an impact on the on-field product?

Sure, we also have to establish the criteria for determining "better".

He has exactly the same impact on the on-field product as "Go, Cubs, Go" or the Greek priest or any stupid shit the team did B.E. (Before Epstein).

B&B have spent hours upon hours suggesting that there was a Cub culture that had prevented winning, and somehow Epstein along with Julian Green and whatever other Really Smart Guys or Guys With Flavor were going to put an end to that culture. They "got it". And that culture included things exactly like Clark the Cub. At least it did when it was being created by guys bernstein didn't respect.

That would be okay, but I would suggest K/9, ERA+, and WAR. Best 2 out of 3 wins. Or maybe just WAR.

Regarding "Clark,The Cub". When the story broke,my first thought was: "That's nice, something for the kids." It still is my primary thought. I do not rip the Cubs on every move!

I like the 2 out of 3. Just want to make sure which skipper and pitching coach would be managing my investment.

There's no problem with Clark himself. They should have just had him start appearing at hospitals. Nobody would have said shit.

I don't like that Goodell extra-point plan. I think Belichick's was better.

Goodell's thing is just the existing rule and just giving you the extra-point as a gimmie.

Remember when the Score was "fans talking to fans"? Now it's proxies for billionaires talking down to fans. Bring back Murph!

Roger Goodell willfully engaging in a publicity stunt to justify putting a Super Bowl in Jersey is WRONG and UNFAIR.

Wait, wait, wait... if JORR's holding a bet, there has to be a category for wins. STAND ON IT!

At least at the Super Bowl, the idiots sitting in the shitty seats actually are the hedge fund managers and doctors.

People didn't want to pay major-league prices for a minor-league experience on the south side last year, and all four of the show's principals screamed their heads off at how awful the fans were. Of course, to call the White Sox a minor-league experience would be a compliment, because teams in the minor leagues tend not to shit all over their paying customers.

I don't mind that as a category, but it should be winning percentage. And the sample for a single season is small. But I would be willing to go best 2 out of 3 on ERA+, K/BB ratio, WAR and if a guy has a losing record he automatically loses. There should also be an innings minimum.

i say you move the goalposts closer together for XP only (they can engineer a moveable goal post system)... as for how close, i'm not sure. I'd want them close enough that kickers are only making 75% of the extra points... would lead to missed extra points and more 2 pt conversion plays to make up the missed XP

Extra points should be from the 15-20, two pts still from the 2 yard line.

I don't know but it's awful. Ditka sounds drunk and every time he tries to spit out "your....EmPLOYer..." it makes me cringe.

Maybe it wasn't Belichick's plan but I like the idea of making it a 40-yard extra-point or doing the 2-point. I feel that's pretty close to making it a decision.
