As a father with daughters the thought of that really pisses me off. Our system throws the book at people for victimless crimes and allows criminals whose crimes leave a lifetime of pain to walk without any jail time or just a slap on the wrist. A lot of the women get victimized in the court of law and in the court of public opinion after an assault. Then we wonder why some just avoid reporting it.

If you really think about it, there is no worse result a legal system could have than to convict an innocent man.

It is the first time I've heard that. I understand the burden of prove is on the prosecution and it's allegedly a high bar but I really want to know where these people guilty of crimes are allowed to walk are? You've spent far more time in courts than I have but I just don't see it. In the black community I've seen many people that were innocent take plea deals to avoid possibly losing in a trial. In fact I don't personally know of anyone in the black community that walked from any crime other than a guy that admitted to raping a women after he was acquitted.
