Mac, do not give in on any dislike you may have for Howry. That dickhead has been taking swipes at Sox fans since the day they booed his rear end out of town. He never mentions the the Cleveland fans, who have been woefully absent during the down years of the late 90's to mid 00's. He also never mentions the Cub fans who happily cheer his +4 ERA since his arrival. He is just simply angry with a fanbase that dared to expect something of him.

What did Howry say again? I met Howry a few times when he was at the golf course I use to work at. He seemed like a nice guy. I cleaned his clubs and he tipped which wasn't always the case for sox personnel.

Now I know why Mac's been on his ass all year. I think that Howry's been doing an okay job all season, at least better overall than Stevie Eyre. Still, I don't blame you guys for hating the guy if he's been ripping on you.

Howry posted a 3.17 ERA last year and has a 3.72 this year after a horrible start. You can hate on him all you want if he trashes the Sox, I would too if I were a Sox fan. That's why I can't stand Buehrle and all his little snide comments about Maddux and other North-Siders. But the fact is Howry has been a very reliable reliever for the Cubs and has been pretty lights-out as of late. His BAA continues to go down, something Mac was harping on after he got back from suspension. That's it, I'll save the rest of my Cubs rants for the right section.

howry is a douche. if he wanted to rip on sox fans, thats fine. but dont do it 5 years after you were on the team. the fact is his performance during his latter days on the southside warranted nothing but boo's and insults. if he cant take it, then he can cry in his beer at the cubbie bear.
