Singer Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach before dawn Thursday after a street-racing incident and he subsequently failed a field sobriety test, police said.

According to Miami Beach Police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez, the incident happened about 4 a.m.

"He was pulled over and failed a field sobriety test," Hernandez said about the entertainer.

The singer was reportedly driving a rented, yellow Lamborghini automobile when he was stopped.

Bieber was subsequently given a breath test for alcohol.

"He is at our police station and we're awaiting breath test results," Hernandez said.

Bieber will eventually be taken to Miami-Dade County's Main Jail where he will have his mugshot taken, according to Hernandez.
