As I said before what a very small minority of people may embrace doesn't give anyone the right to label an entire group of people that. You should also be able to understand that. Instead of trying to justify why you may use certain words to describe an entire group of people. That's very unfortunate.

I thought dolphin not being able to quote properly was bad ... what's with the echo posting?

I'm not proofreading and once it posts i'm catching grammatical errors and attempting to revise.

The Reilly Cooper incident received a lot of press. It would not have if those words were uttered by an African American.

Not to mention, Cooper wasnt talking about blacks. No self respecting brother was at that hillbilly concert.

Nas, quick interjection about your last post. What white comedian ever used the N word and got away with it? I can't think of one.

I've been stereotyped in many ways and called many things. I've been called a thug based on the way I was dressed when I was younger. I've also been stopped by police for driving what they considered to be a nice car on the westside of Chicago. They thought I was trying to buy drugs. They couldn't believe that I had actually met a client at her house after dark.

Funny I never saw that before. If anyone could pull that off it would be him.

I considered that. Except they searched my bag and my car before handing me my license and just walking away without another word.

I can recall getting in a confrontation with a white guy years ago. It occurred in Wheeling. He began arguing with me because he was upset that I'd come to see his girl who was my ex at the time. He began arguing with me in the street as I was attempting to pull off in my car. Someone called the police and when the police came he referred to me as a drug dealer. I know the only reason that he referred to me as a drug dealer was because I was black. He was the person doing most of the yelling. I attempted to diffuse the situation by walking away from it. She attempted to explain to the police that he was the person that caused the situation but they were not trying to hear it. All of the questioning was leveled against me. They did not arrest me but I understood what the entire situation was about and why the questions were leveled against me.

Adam Carolla and Greg Fitzsimmons talked about it on Fitz's show this week and they both used it. Not everyone loves it, but Id say they "get away with it" for the sake of what were talking about.

They pointed out that saying the word (a discussion about the word) and using the word (calling someone the word) are two different things.

I choose not to use it. Some call using subsititutes like "the N word" or "N#####" is childish, but id rather just error on the side of childishness vs hatred (even if the hatred is misconstrued)

They even issued a breathilizer test because they wanted to know if I was ok to drive though I didn't show any outward signs of being intoxicated

The police thing is insane.

I would say for every 100 cars I see pulled over where the motorist is out of the vehicle and they or their car is being searched, 99 of them are dark skinned.

I just couldnt imagine that.

Although, in my youth when I was driving in a poorer neighborhood I was pulled over for being white because they assumed I must be buying drugs.

You probably have a good policy.
