Dan's pretend law degree will likely be on full display today as he talks about the latest developments between the Cubs and the rooftop owners and the revelations found in their leaked contract. Will he credit David Kaplan for breaking this story as other outlets have been doing?

There is also the story about Northwestern football players seeking to join a labor union.

He's probably been on the phone all day with really smart people getting important information about big things.

Tune in as Terry obediently nods along with the greatest legal mind in Chicago sports radio.

No. He knows even less about the law than he does about medicine, sociology or sports.

Then again...

As a "real life" lawyer, I love shows when Danny pretends to be one. He gets some legal phrase from his dad and runs with without fully understanding what it means - kind of like when he talks sabermetrics. Funny stuff.

Of course that means that his dad can see both sides of an issue, often respectfully. Lil' Danny is completely incapable of that.

And everything else.

He does that with everything. He learns just enough to BS and then presents himself as an authority while misrepresenting what he says.

I love when he throws out Candlestick charting in regards to trading. Candlestick charts are older than candlesticks

I think if you send him an email with a few big words and some legal lingo, he will assume you're a lawyer and read it on the air every time. This could potentially make for some hilarious radio if someone could infiltrate Dan's Beautiful Mind.

DB: "Here's a great email from a listener named Carl Rubenstein that does a nice job of summarizing this contract"......

Teary: "Uhhh...well, look, My guy said something similar to this, and well, thank you for the email my friend"

Any chance Dan talks about Chicago's Big Ten Labor?

If he does, it'll be some all-time Cognitive Dissonance Radio.

Bernsie making a big deal about Elway being the best combo player/GM ever. "It's very rare to be great at both"

Guess Jerry West doesn't count.

He brought him up just now after the break. Also belatedly specified he was speaking about just football. Im guessing he got at least a few texts calling him a dumbass and mentioning West.

Not even the best combo GM in the NFL either. That'd be Ozzie Newsome.

Even if he is talking about football, Ozzie Newsome is in the team photo. Hall of Fame player and two SB rings as Ravens GM.

Many times I have heard Berns reference things that he only could have got from this board. He is here daily.

Dan Bernstein does not understand how Lynch gets away with being a semi-pud.

You can almost hear that little voice inside his head, "but he's black!" He should get called out by white Amrica!"
