So if a terrorist attack happened and NHL players were hurt or killed, how would the players who voluntarily went be able to sue the NHL?

Curious, I'm sure you've written about the NHL's TV deal with NBC before. What's your opinion on it again? I liked the deal very much. I don't know what Mr. TV Exec Bernstein thought the NHL should've gotten.

It's the biggest U.S. contract in the history of the league and NBC has devoted itself to marketing the NHL far more than ESPN would have. It's hard to find fault with it. The only problem for the NHL is that they played it very safe and signed a ten-year contract. If interest in the league keeps trending upward as sharply as it did last year, $200 million a year could be a tremendous bargain for NBC.

The NHL also shares a recent gigantic Canadian TV contract.

And on top of that, the Montreal Canadiens are now set to get $68 million a year for 60 French telecasts alone. That's $18 million more than the Cubs get for ~150 games in English.

Why do these guys think that Tim Tebow was drafted with one of the Cutler picks?

The Tebow pick was done with a trade with Baltimore.

It diverted conversation, sidetracked thought, gave The Stain wiggle room for a post Super Bowl blog snippet (Denver pro or con, but anti Tebow).

Spiegs kept saying today the two receivers they have now were from the Cutler picks. Hub says no.

2009 #84 : Mike Wallace

2010 #11 pick: Anthony Davis (San Francisco traded up two spots for 4th rder that eventually made its way to the Patriots who took Aaron Hernandez)

No Thomas, Decker, or Tebow

They ended up with Decker and Thomas after about 5 trades with the pick in 2010.

Well jeez how far do you go?

Anyway the main actual picks were Ayers and Davis

I was wondering about that. It's super popular there. That said, how much is a "gigantic" Canadian contract worth? Presumably, about 10% of a gigantic US contract, right?

Meh, facts. Who needs 'em?

What's really startling is how lazy sports radio guys are. I mean, really. It doesn't take loads of resources to figure these things out today. The internet has made this sort of thing free, easy, and fast. A host should be able to do it while hosting the show, or at least during a break.

It's worth more than the NBC contract -- $5.2 billion CDN over twelve years -- but it also contains a provision that the seven Canadian teams get a little more than a 1/30 share and the American teams a little less. I believe the previous deals with CBC and TSN gave every team an equal share.

Let's just remember back to the day when Dan and Terry BOTH thought the Broncos had nothing at WR even though they had Decker and Thomas.

Great point. It really should be a point of embarrassment how often M&S and B&B state incorrect things as facts. Lazy certainly is the most fitting word.
