If you make me choose between you and Rome, you wont like my choice.

Also, Rome clearing his throat (which you never hear, cause he's a fuckin pro) is more interesting than anything EVER said by:

Harry Teinowitz
Terry Boers
Matt Spiegel
And your whole tree of producers.

I always thought, Rome was not your type of show, but that you respect his game. Guess not.

Dont hold it against Rome that he doesnt like the lettuce or smoking heaters

Rack me

Rome isnt my cup of tea. Seems like it would get old.

you may not like his act, but at least he knows what's what, which is a rarity in sports media.

Actually to be honest, I hated him at first couple listens.

Usually when someone say its "an acquired taste" I would balk and say it sucks. But with Rome I went from thinking he was awful to the best. I never laugh harder than when Rome is ripping a player or team.

I found that he got old fast. I know what you mean by him being funny. He doesn't seem genuine to me though, like it's all an act.

It's because Smigel was at Second City and a Polish name would make for a good Chicago character, not out of pure reverence for Chuck Swirsky.

IMO, the Score should move B&B to the mornings, Mac to afternoon drive, & put Rome's show on middays.

Although, I find Rome best in the late evenings as he was on ESPN 1000

Get your finger off the ? key, this isn't an AOL chatroom. Of course it's based on Chuck Swirsky, but it's not a tribute to his greatness.

Dan McNeil couldn't sniff Jim Rome's jock without coughing up a lung.
Comparing the 2 would be like comparing a rusty ice pick shoved up my ass vs. sleeping with Olivia Wilde and Alison Brie at the same time.
Mac is a blowhard has-been. Rome is syndicated across the country and has 2 television shows and is the best in the biz.
Someone tell Barney Rubble to go choke on an Omaha Steak and shut the fuck up.

I've thought that Rome was a little cheap-shot hack of a bitch ever since the incident with Jim Everett. That was pitiful.

I love listening to Rome when I get the chance to. However, he is a bitch in the way he treats for people who were on his show.

I think your half correct. Berns & Roz, & Mac & Boers.

Being that antagonistic to someone who would beat your ass, but you know they can't or else they'd get into a world of trouble, is a little bitch move.

Disagree.

Would be a bitch move if it was over the phone. He did it face to face and then did it even after Everett threatened him and then he took the tackle

I see how it could rub people the wrong way though

Not staged. Everett still hates him and bashes him on Twitter (to his 9 followers)

I mean, dont we always want reporters/media to be honest. That was the ULTIMATE in honesty

I think asking "Why were you such a bitch in the AFC playoffs" is pretty hard hitting

But I mean, a lot of hosts talk a lot of shit until the player is on their show and then they kiss ass. Rome at least kept it real.
