One thing you have to understand is, in the context of physical beauty, and when you're talking about stature and maturity of something beautiful, that there is a very fine line you have to walk in defining it. When I played with the Machine, for instance, we were a sight to behold. In a way you could say it was beautiful. When I stepped into the batter's box, that was rapture. When I made a double play seamlessly at second base, that was radiant. But these words can still not describe exactly the feeling of beauty. When you see a beautiful painting, can words transcribe what the painting actually is?

That is why there is a Hall of Fame. It's really the Hall of Beauty, in a masculine way. It's something that represents pure gorgeousness. Women would call it "ambrosia". But for us men, we call it perfection. In every aspect, and angle, there cannot be a dispute about it. And that is what true beauty is, and when you watched me play, that is what you saw--always.
