Nope. He's already earned millions. It just went into someone else's bank account.
How will Texas A&M survive without him next year? You think they'll go bankrupt?

The same way Alabama would survive without Saban. But you aren't advocating for limitations on his market value.

I wouldn't have a problem with that either, though the value of a coach is obviously higher than any college player.

I don't believe that's obvious at all.

The value of any great consistently winning coach is and always will be greater than
the value of any great consistently winning college player...no exception.

OK, so we can cap any player salary below what the coach makes.

You'd think an Illini fan would understand how valuable good coaching can be.

How are you determining that "fact"?

A college player has a term limit...the consistency of winning college coach would include recruiting (obvious replacement of said "great player") and of course supreme STRATEEGERY! :D

Okay, I would agree with you in the case of the few coaches who spend an extended period in one place.

Most good coaches end up staying longer than 5 years at the BCS schools.

Also, at least for now, the NFL isn't an option for a majority of college football players. It is for the college coaches which obviously raises the value. Even if they started paying college football players, they wouldn't be competing with the NFL except in the rare case where a senior wants to come back with big money available at the NFL level.

Then 20 minutes later, their guest and football "expert" Matt Miller pick Seattle to win because of their defense.

maybe new york media doesn't have a black athlete fetish like lil danny b does. Besides, Martellus Bennett's not that great on the radio. Peanut Tillman's a better radio interview.

I'm guessing the Ravens and Seahawks bird logos are more familiar/attractive to Eli the Ape than the 49ers or Broncos logos.

I'll eat my shoe if Terry starts one, just one, sentence with repeating "I" 2-3 times. "I, I, I, ugh, umm, yeah, look, point of fact, I, I, just don't, and if you think, it's just not something I, no, not at all, no."

Yes! The Packers offense has continued to be excellent. Why aren't they going for the 3-peat? Oh yea....dammit.

Not gonna pretend that I knew cause obviously I didn't...though when they were making ABSOLUTES about the whole situation that Incognito was the bad guy. I'm sure the guy is an ass but to think Martin's actions did not contribute or to not eve be considered was fuckin' ridiculous.

Dan to backpedal like a 2bit whore yesterday was honestly sad and pathetic..."Martin was acting that way to FIT IN to the group...he had to do that to survive" WTF is that? When do people take responsibility for their own actions and decisions?
