I'd always heard of this series and thought I'd seen it but I guess I haven't.

It's a 26 episode documentary series on WWII from British TV in the early 1970s. It's tremendous. A retelling from 1933-end of WWII complete with interviews from Germans, Brits, French, etc. - all the people that were there. This series could not be done today. BONUS - narrated by Laurence Olivier, the 2nd coolest Laurence of all-time, OF ALL TIME.

I'm only 4 eps in but I can't sneak in enough time to keep watching. I don't think it's on Amazon or Netflix so you'll have to get your hands on the DVDs. If you're into military history, I highly recommend.

It's weird to think that these memories were still pretty fresh as the events weren't even 30 years in the past. It would be like us recalling the mid-'80s.

I think so. They're interviewing Allies, high-ranking Nazis, Japanese, Russians....I think it's fascinating.

Eva Braun...not hot...especially considering she was in her mid 20s. She was probably a beard or willing to let him do just about any kinky thing he could conjure up.

My father introduced me to this program as a whelp. I think he watched it in the 70s as a teenager when it first aired. It's a classic and gives you info and insight into all theaters of the war. Where else will you get a breakdown of the tactics of the Finnish armed forces? Ski warfare! Plus, it's narrated by the titanic thespian Sir Laurence Olivier.

Yeah, one of those jeeps flipped with star,Christopher George in it. He ended up with heart damage that ended up killing him a half dozen years later. He was one of my favorite action stars growing up. He always was in some cool series or movie: Rat Patrol,The Immortal,Dan August pilot movie,Grizzly and a made for TV movie,Escape.
