The other Jones movies were a ton of fun and also awesome. This one was neither, just a huge heart fucking disappointment.

Indiana Jones can work in a lot of ways and they still messed it up.

Also, as for George Lucas, I'll say this: one of the most insightful points made in the extremely insightful and hilarious "Mr. Plinkett" Red Letter Media breakdowns of the Star Wars prequels was near the end, where they explain Lucas' original vision for the Star Wars story. The characters were totally different -and totally stupid. Someone, somewhere along the line talked that moron out of it. He had to compromise in major ways, and the product was lightning in a bottle. When he got full control, he churned out a total turd. Lucas just sucks.
