It's awesome. Have you tried any of the other variations?

I had some of the variations at a tasting over the summer. This year's batch all I've had is the standard. Gonna put at least one of my remaining 2 bottles away to age.

The coffee is phenomenal. We drank one from last year, and most of the coffee taste disappeared.

Just picked up some KoKo Brown from Kona Brewing company. At $7.99 a six it's a pretty close approximation of Maui Brewing Company's CoCoNut Porter. Me likey.

:( I'm really not feeling this year's Hopslam. I hope it's just my palate because it tastes way too malty at the moment, and this is from a 2-week old bottle.

A friends' nephew is one of the principals at Begyle. He brought a growler of Euchred IPA to dinner last night. Not a bad beer.

Hi Greg! Place by me had 24 HopSlams sitting out yesterday.

I didn't get any and went with a 6 of Gumballhead instead.
I made a poor choice. :( Gumballhead just isn't very good to me anymore.

I'm with you. It's not a bad beer by any stretch, but I just don't enjoy like I did when I first had it.

I can't tell if the beer itself has changed or if my tastes have. It used to be one of my all-time favorites, but now it has an aftertaste that I have a hard time with.

Acquiring a PseudoSue today. Anyone had it? Supposedly it's very similar to Zombie Dust.

6 pack of Narragansett Lager pint cans, 2 Grolsch pint bottles and 2 24 oz. bottles of Red Stripe.
Red Stripe isn't even made in Jamaica anymore.

I finally got to try Zombie Dust the other day and though it might have a slightly greater depth of flavor and a bit more pronounced bitterness, I'll be Goddamned if it doesn't taste exactly like Two Brothers' Sidekick.

To me Zombie Dust exhibits a little more piney hops in it than sidekick. Sidekick to me is all citrus hops. It's also lighter to me than Zombie Dust.

The first time I tasted Sidekick, I thought they were trying to duplicate ZD. While it's close, the Sidekick just isn't as complex as ZD.

ZD is tough to find, and usually marked up, so Sidekick at $8.99 for a sixer isn't a bad deal.

Is Sidekick both in cans and bottles now? I see bottles, but didn't know if the cans I also saw were outdated. Used to be cans only.
