Has there been a prospect that has been ranked in the top 70 on most boards that went undrafted? Maybe Doc or GD would know this? I just assumed he was a lock.

You could say a guy like Vontaze Burfict. But Burfict underwhelmed his year before getting drafted even though people knew he had great natural talent.

He had the supposed character issues and was horrific at the combine. His combine and pro day were in meltdown territory IIRC.

I believe he got suspended in season, went psycho in his bowl game, got his coach fired...which still left some speculating he would go in the first...then went to the combine fat and ran well over 5 in the 40 with little strength.

Sam will get picked, no doubt about that. It did give me some pause that the vaunted Missouri D that he led crapped the bed in the last two games when the stakes got high. On the other hand they played great throughout the year and he had Manziel running for his life like no team I had previously seen.

His problem is the position switch. He is small for the line

He projects as an linebacker, which is perfect for a guy named Mike Sam (his middle name isn't Will, is it?).

This guy's sexual orientation has nothing to do with football. I hope the Score hosts can focus on sports and not their left wing political views.

If you can support gay rights hating chicken sandwich makers can't we support gay football players?

Belichick or Pete Carroll might take him. They run tight ships and the first whiff of some Incognito-style faggotry and the offending player gets shipped off to Oakland. Trestman might be a good fit, but hard to see the Chicago Bears being the franchise to bust the NFL's homo-hymen (tho maybe that's why they'd be a good team to do it).

Figure one reason the NFL and football overall is so hyper-homophobic is because the incidence of gay homosexuality among football players is likely higher than the general population, like with body builders, starbucks baristas and guys in prison.

The Bears are not the correct team to fit a square peg into a round hole, so to speak.

He should switch to heterosexuality, just as you have switched to homosexuality.

I think it's more of an issue in the locker room than on the field.

You might want to skip B&B today...

I think I will. If they are going to run a political show they should know that the right wing radio is much more entertaining.

while there's obviously all of the social implications/ramifications that goes with something like this, i, for one, can't wait for people like beerstain to step up and call this guy brave for taking it up the ass.

hell, i'm far from brave and i'd never take it up the ass, so maybe there's something to that?

but yeah, on that sketch comedy show that i'll probably never have, i'd love to have a press conference where i announce to the world that i'm straight and i like the puss. i mean, yeah, stop the presses.... but once again i totally understand the social implications/ramifications and all of that, but i think we're to a point where homosexuality is out-n-FABULOUS!!!!!! enough to where somebody formally declaring their gayness should ideally elicit a yawn and a check of the calendar to make sure it's a tuesday or whatever day it is. how many times as a society to we have to go and make a big stink about someone's preferences in orifice-jamming/orgasm-pursuit before we're just a bunch of rubberstampping dimwits who need to stop being "prisoners of the moment" (royalties out to the man, the myth, the legend aka the archetype and the blueprint for our mid-day listening habits du jour: skip bayless)

anyways, i hear beerstain proclaim "THERE IS NO ARGUMENT HERE" so i wonder if it's about the gayness or something else.... i should pay attention. i can't wait for hours of programming to be devoted to dan trying to troll the counterculture segment of his audience by incensing them to call up and prove to be "bigoted" (cuz remember, i'm trying to get us to officially put the kibosh on the term "homophobic" as the go-to term to describe peoiple who aren't immediately enamored with homosexuality) cuz you know there's gonna be a whole lot of 'baitin' </daxshepardfromidiocracy> on today's show
