so do they only play half of the theme song like when Laurence has some "replacement-level talent" in the studio and he wants to make them feel like shit before he reminds them that he's got a DePaul education while they went to that one odd broadcasting school that advertised on The Score back in the day?

i think that would be not only apropos, but totally just.

Yeah, I have heard that before where he played the theme song and then it sort of was like the noise a record player makes when you turn it off while it is playing.
