Vince Lombardi had a gay brother? Are we 100% sure it wasn't Willie Davis? Dan DID tell us that there's a gay guy in every team's lockerroom, so let's go back to 4th grade and just call people gay because it's definitely a thing to do!

/me stops and realizes that the IS0P/Fairies thing has more weight because an "inner sanctum of pricks" sounds like the place to be if you're into the homosex

At the Washington Redskins training camp in 1969, Ray McDonald was a gay player, with sub-par skills,[124] who was trying to make the Redskin roster again ,[citation needed] but this time with Lombardi as the Redskins' new head coach. Lombardi told running back coach, George Dickson,[125] 'I want you to get on McDonald and work on him and work on him - and if I hear one of you people make reference to his manhood, you'll be out of here before your ass hits the ground.'[126]

I have talked with him & listened to him since the early years of the Score. His political opinions today are pretty much the direct opposite of what they were when he was teamed up with Mac. Others here have noted this as well. Berns broke Terry's will long ago.

cosigned. and god bless terry for it, cuz if you had a chance to make solid 6-figures income to use an ISDN line 2-3 times a week or whatever alongside rubberstamping the ideologue's latest crusade, shit, you'd do it too.

It's in celebration of the 5 stars Cooper's Hawk has received in the Scorehead Restaurant Guide.

But Berns is better with a co-host who challenges him & doesn't just go along with him. The show is great for this reason when Rozner fills in for Terry. The B&B show would be great if Terry would just be himself & disagree with Dan occasionally.

ah yes, who can forget that restaurant guide? it's the one where the reviewer's meal is clearly indicative of every meal ever served at the place, just like every other facet of life!

the foreward by BRick was also moving, touching, and all kinds of things that i suppress til i'm on the couch. maybe i should see a psychologist someday?

This is a clear miscasting. I'm probably a bigger restaurant snob than JORR.

oh yeah, although last i checked i wasn't having a quickie referendum on the state/makeup of the show, I was just saying god bless Terry for taking that <JohnConnor> EASY MONEY!!!!! </JohnConnor> while it's out there to be taken.

You're very probably right about the show, but I have to disclaim that Terry's long been one of my radio heroes... so even in the declining twilight of his career I still miss him more than those 4 days a year when Dan isn't around because in my ideal world Terry is the comic relief / tangential-aside / much-needed-levity whereas Beerstain has created a bunch of clones at the station who can fill his role easier than you can fill the Terry chair.

Whenever Terry goes out to pasture I reckon we'll get a somewhat different show from the one that we've enjoyed for the last 10-15/+ years.

He just wore Terry out and would do the same to Rozner after a while. Could you imagine trying to debate someone who can never acknowledge the other side of an argument every single day?

Now there's a market inefficiency for you. "We appreciate your years of service, Dan, but we've spent the last five years cultivating a cadre of bros who can do your job for half the price, so..."

Has anyone made a joke about Sam and the show me state yet? If not, I may spend the not fashioning comedic greatness.

In the past, Dan & Terry would have been all over the Show-Me state angle. However, they do Real. Important. Radio now. You can tell by the weekly visit from Bob in Niles.
