I agree that the caller was an idiot, but the rage in Dan's voice and then telling the guy to "go drive off a cliff" just for making a "burrito sounds like flag" joke was nuts.

As a kid,My family used to go to "Lanza's" in Berwyn. It had Mario Lanza pictures and collectables all over the place. I think it was called Lanza's. The food was great.

It's gentrified a lot since I first started going there. It was a pretty dicey neighborhood back in the late 80s/early 90s. Frankly, I liked it better before. But they shuttered your stores. When you opened the doors. To the cops who were bored. Once they'd run out of crime.

The second time I ate there I was in town for the Hambletonian. It was me and me first wife- but before we were married- and my partner in the racing stable and his wife. I remember very clearly. I was stuck about 3 grand toward the end of the race card. I didn't have much cash left so I really needed to make a good value play. I bet two $20 doubles. The key horse was in the first half and his name was Under Orders. Pete Wrenn was driving. He won at about 24-1. I was alive to the two best horses in the second half, Pine Chip and S.J.'s Photo. The double was paying a lot more with S.J.'s Photo. For a moment he looked like a winner, but Pine Chip got by him at the end. Still, I got all my money back and more. I could have walked across the George Washington Bridge on air. As it was, I drove through the Lincoln Tunnel. Went to Lanza's. A brother tried to sell my buddy's wife a baggie of crack outside. She was appalled and afraid. That motherfucker couldn't recognize his target demographic. He should have approached my wife.
