Their only interest in a college player is what he might do "at the next level". Dee Brown was a helluva college player. So was Brian Cook. Starting with the 4:30 update yesterday was the reason why the show is great. They had Rongey going and just killed the update. It was the worst update ever but I was laughing out loud in my car. They need to get back to that shit instead of very serious radio.

Taking positions you don't actually believe about on-the-field sports issues to generate calls is one thing, but using social issues as a means of trolling and throwing around nonsensical accusations of racism, homophobia, etc., as a gag is pretty low. IMO those are serious issues, serious accusations, and treating them as fodder for radio schtick is classless. That's my main issue with what Bernstein has become.

That is why I still listen. I can read or hear anyone's generic thoughts on sports. They can have 25 minute stretches where I cant stop laughing. I just tune out when he starts preaching.
