Look, I'm pretty much fine with how the Cubs progress is going/will be going, and based on what I read of others on the board chances are probably, dear reader, you're not .... and I don't really care because neither of us actually knows a damn thing about it either way.

However, people and places such as Baseball America are supposed to be more in-tune with what's what ... and maybe they are, who knows ... that said, here's their take on their list of the Cubs' top 10 prospects from 2007 ... if you've eaten recently, just know that you may vomit if you read too much of it ... I won't ruin the 'fun' for you but will offer the spoiler tidbit that the closest they got to anyone of consequence on the list was Jeff Szmohegeohadfouhagohja, and they had him at #3.

As a bonus on the right-hand side as you scroll down are other neato lists such as "projected 2010 lineup", "best tools" (heyyyyy), and "top draft picks of the decade" ... all I can say is it's 'across the wrist' for attention, 'up and down the arm' for results.

So whether that means the Cubs were remedial or the folks at Baseball America were, I leave to you to decide. Anyway, on to the article.

Thanks, Don. That's a real uplifting read. I'll follow that up by revisiting Jerry Angelo's 2007 draft class.

Being that the Ricketts cubs looks nothing like the 2007 Tribune/Zell/mcD+Hendry Cubs, just cant take anything done by a regime only worried about banking $80 mill a year as future outcomes.
