She was on SNL recently and I don't believe I even cracked a smile at any of the sketches.

She was funny in bridesmaids, as an example.

She does play the same role in every scene she does, so I assume I will want her 15 mins over soon as well.

She was by far the weakest link on Gilmore Girls, so I figured she would she would disappear into the ether while Lauren Graham became a huge star. But no, here she is, being loud and fat and making poop jokes. Chicago tough.

I haven't seen her movies or her TV show, but I thought several of her skits on SNL were pretty funny. She does a good "socially awkward" character.

I take that back, I did see Bridesmaids and a couple of her scenes were kind of funny. Kristen Wiig, as usual, was awful.

If you don;t think King of Queens is funny then you don't like...........stuff.

No, its not at all. None of them are oafish and none of them are especially dumb.

And The Cosby Show managed to be a sitcom without the traditional Dumb Father routine. Also, Family Ties and Growing Pains.

Cosby Show followed the formula you described exactly. Not sure that can even be debated.

The two main "funny guys" on Seinfeld weren't dumb guys that did outlandish and dumb things for a laugh?

I think you may be hung up on the weight thing with KoQ. That's really the only difference.

Anyway, to each their own. I only take exception because Jimmy acts like Kevin James is a comedic genius

He was a doctor - but the interactions with everybody in his family made him look "dumb". He was the punchline for Claire's smooth, pretty, smart character. She was the boss in the house and he was just another child that did what she said.
