I don't have a problem with him, he isn't perfect but nobody is. My limited dealings with him have been positive. It is clear that his focus has shifted to caring for his family and that is natural. I would also argue that Abbattacola started to address the homophobia in sports issue before Bernsie did.

Kinda on a sidenote: But I clearly remember being younger and hearing them use the "gay" drop. I am glad they stopped doing that as I was never comfortable with it. However, at least nowadays if I hear an adult call something "gay" in a negative sense then I automatically know they are an idiot.

i used to enjoy matty. he's the worst when he cohosts any show though. because he becomes in my eyes mini-bernstein. and he's bad at it. I enjoyed when he used his Moody education to roast dan on religious stuff he just pulled out of his ass. When he does call dan out on stuff and sticks to his guns (he usually backs down), he's good. when he comments on callers, he's good. everything else is bad.

After BernSTINE found out that the gays pay money to his wife, and then started to really care what they thought, he sure has becomequite the social arbiter.

Loved how he was saying earlier that he was "really pounding Chris Broussard" over his "hate group." He's really looking to get his name out there with this and desperately looking for validation. He ain't gonna find it.

I heard him talking a couple weeks ago about how the show has changed and progressed when it comes to gay people. It sounded pretty funny, but I think he was trying to be serious. He basically said in the last couple years he realized making fun of gay people is wrong. I've known that pretty much since I knew who gay people were.

Chris is an NBA analyst. Which is why he talked about Jason Collins. Why in the heck would Chris have any type of comment on an NFL player? Well it has progressed, its not just the stopping of the "gay" drop either. Also, Isn't it more likely that Bernsie is just responding to society realizing that GLBT people are to be respected like any other minority group? Basically, realizing that loving someone of the same gender doesn't make someone evil or sinful?

Also, I never really got the impression that Bernsie, Terry or anyone associated with the Score was an actual homophobe. They were just pretty immature and insensitive when it came to the issue. They have both addressed this.

If you don't like Bernstein then so be it. He has plenty of things to go after, him accepting GLBT people and his wife being a gay rights advocate isn't really something that I would attack.

What a wonderful world this would be if we could accept all blacks, gays and whatever group you want to choose and make fun of them. I think comedy can make things formerly taboo open and accepted. As an example the gay pride parade in any given city. I give a shit about gays, Michael Sam or anything else but I sure as shit am gonna LMAO and make fun of those parades.

I agree with you about society, but lots of people long ago accepted GLBT people. Its that we are now reaching such a level that the majority of Americans think GLBT deserve legal protection.

Also, I feel like he stopped doing it before 2011. I do not remember him mocking gay people during that time. Could be wrong.

It was that Truffle Pig fellow who has taken Dan to task on a few occasions now (so I'm at least a bit surprised that they still put him on the air). In this instance he was calling Dan out for saying that the US Women's Hockey team blew a two goal lead when in fact they only blew a one goal lead, to which Dan replied he didn't care. Not too explosive.

WYC was exceptionally bad yesterday. I think the last one was Schmutzie somehow trying to work a crap out of people's non-reaction to the Michael Sam thing. It just sounded like somebody jumping through hoops to hit a Dan Bernstein talking point. He crapped journalists for taking anonymous quotes or something. It was very unclear.

Still not as bad as the guy that crapped Rongey for saying the "Bulls played in the last 10 games winning 7" in that "of course they played in the games".

Whole segment was awful.
